Need help with *.mov file

Need some help guys:

 

I'm trying to get a *.mov clip (taken with a CANON digital camera) to play.

When I use Windows Media Player 11, the video is OK, but the sound does not play.

 

When I use Apple Quicktime 7, the audio plays but I get a green screen.

 

I am using Windows XP Pro SP2.

 

Any suggestions?

Try using VLC player and see how it goes. It should play all kinds of videos thrown to it.

Thanks for the suggestion. Tried the VLC player on the *.mov file.

Now I get the first frame of the video, then it freezes. Audio continues to play.

 

Strangely, this clip plays OK with Quicktime 7 on my work laptop.

Any other suggestions?

download codec package from internet. it's your desktop lack of properiate codec.

or you can download BaoFeng player, it's a powerful player play almost any format.

if quicktime cannot play, the file might be corrupted.. i am not trying to be pessimistic but rather than spend so much time searching for a video player, you would rather re-capture the event if possible?
