Has anyone thought about biking and playing golf at the same time? Many thinks that the two don't mix. But it actually can. Just get a bike where you can install a stand/bracket to hold your golf bag and you can go anywhere to golf. Whether in Singapore or Malaysia. Cool idea or not ??? Anyone who is interested to explore the idea further with me or who can design a good golf stand/bracket on a bike pls get in touch with me here. Reasons? Can enjoy biking at the same time, lower cost of moving around and more mobile and not get stuck in traffic jams here or across the causeway. Its especially useful for bikers who don't have a car and yet wish to enjoy golf especially in Johore or even Desaru and Malacca.:cheer:

Wah you sure or not?? Don't say a full set of golf clubs, even a day bag with 2 clubs will be very awkward to carry around on a bike. You can look for viciouskitty74, she should be interested

Hey don't be.

I still have my clubs, I just don't swing it as often as I should.

And anyway, a summer golf bag can sling much better on your back then mine. Why not consider taking it up?

I rather work on the background then be an organiser. Less stress and less disappointments.

Hi,

A half set would be easier to carry but if a bag carrier can be fabricated even a full set is not a problem. I think a cruiser or street bike like the Phantom or Shadow type of bike would be easier to take a bag carrier. Can explore further and we can start a bike golfer group. My hp is 91129653. SMS to discuss further is easier than logging on all the time.

Yes, you can sling on your back but much more cool to have a carrier fabricated. Also its safer if you should fall or skid. Also if you're going long distance say to Johore or even Malacca/ Desaru you won't be hurting so bad or have a bad pain at the end of your long ride. Anyway just exploring the idea. Probably you don't think it feasible but I've seen it done in Australia. Ride safely.

Hi guys, i ride and golf as well, i have a sunday bag which carries 3 iron and 1 driver......hehehe for the driving range only.......however, there are two ways of carrying it.....if i have to go to my club and i am nearby, i would sling on my back......if i am far away, then i have to hook up to my bike........i have a attachement on my bike, but it is welded on originally for a tank bag, and there is passenger handle which i can hook another attachment which can carry the tail end of the sunday bag........then i can ride m bike in comfort....the only problem is that got to be careful cos when i stop, i have to remember not to stretch my right or left leg to far out or it would bend my shaft.......hehehehe anyway, i ride an ST1100 so got a few attachments for hooking up.......but i think it is quite imposible to hook an entire set up....wah lau.....kena look like a mega bazooka on bike.....hehehehe not safe also, sekali corner then the bike imbalance.....topple over, clubs gone, leg gone, bike gone and face also definitely gone.....heheheheh see ya.......maybe can email me if anyone interested in golfing and riding at the same time......hehehehehe

Hi

Finally, I found a group that ride and golf and hopefully shoot (photo) too.

I am not that adventurous as to ride with a full set, but I will go with my other set of wheels. Can buzz me when you guys swing?

We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing.

I used to ride to golf in Malaysia, with a full set sling across like a rifle during Obstacle Course in NS, but use those slim bags la....

Where do you golf?

dont be silly and be a laughing stock... golf is for rich people with big cars. bikes are for "low class poor" people. these 2 dont go together....

I believe golf today has evolved tremendously to allow the common folks to get in and play, as easily/costly as bowling. Some places even allows you to rent golf sets. I guess its not really so much of a snob's game as percieved in the past. But I do admit that its easier to do golfing if you drive but its not entirely impossible to golf and bike... Reason being that I use to fish (long poles!) and ride. Idea is pretty much the same... :thumb:

I've just gotten my PC and is trying to keep up with the rthym of this game. Once in a while I would go JB Austin Hills to play with my colleagues. I go Mandai range at night pretty regularly, do leave me a note if anybody here is keen to tag along.

when i started playing golf in 1997, i didnt have a car either.

luckily i was riding the PC800 with lots of boot space.

however had to strap the sunday bag across to ride to the range.

golf has become a much friendlier game nowadays and a lot cheaper too.

after quite many years of playing i've been relegated to playing only for business or during company sponsored events

Enjoy
