Hi guys,

I have just converted my foreign license to a Singapore one. I have the B2 license for now. However, I am interested in getting a bigger cc bike. How can I do it? Do I need to sit for a test or can I just apply for it?

Can someone advise me?

Jake

2B lic u mean? i suspose after convert the max allowed is only 2B, then like the rest of us, u have to go thur the course of taking lessons n TP. u can go driving centre n consult, they'll give u a better pic. i dont think 2B to 2A need to take theory test, such a long time since i passed my 2A. :p

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

you have to hold on to your 2b license for a year (you don't necessarily have to ride a 2b bike for a year) before you upgrade it to 200-400 cc (class 2A license), which you have to take at a learning center in Singapore, SSDC (Singapore Safety Driving center) BBDC (Bukit Batok driving center) or CDC (Comfort driving center).

then once you have your 2A, the cycle repeats itself. another year before you can progress to 400cc and above, the final Class 2. (the sky is the limit).

so there are 3 licenses in Singapore to take to receive a "full" motorcycle license. it takes a period of about 3 years.( if u factor learning time) 2+ years for you since you have class 2b already.

take note that for each license, you are allocated only 12 demerit points towards road offences for a year, which if u deplete, you lose your license. when you gain a full year's experience on a license the points are increased to 24.

ie 2B passed july 2010 - 12 points until july 2011 after that it becomes 24 demerit points

BUT

once u take your class 2a and pass, it reverts back to 12.

similar for the final class 2.
