Hi Fellow rider,

I'm riding a X9 200cc. Currently im experiencing my bike stalling and unable to idle when i stop my bike at traffic lights. I have to keep my throttling to keep the engine alive.

Anyone can please advice me on the fault. I have serviced the carburators, spark plug, changed fuel pump and changed the fuel filter. At the workshop it runs fine. When im reaching my home the problem still exists.

Thank you

X9 sometimes has this problem of starting in the morning. Not like alot of bikes one time can start liao.

Maybe your air/fuel needs some tuning.

There's a small screw on top of your carb that can adjust the ratio, not really familiar but better to get a mech to take a look and help u solve your problem.

Try to go to a scooter specialise workshop, cos they might came across this issue many times already so they can help you better. lol

i faced this problem once at night. i believe its a one off thing after that it didnt happen again. I had to keep the throttle past 3 and rode for like ten mins(PIE) avoiding traffic lights..it jus go away. Hmm.

Maybe carb dirty. Or you can see if throttle cable needs tuning, open up access door below seat n use Philips head screwdriver, idling should be at 1500 rpm.

Perhaps try to give it a check on ur spark coil and plug cap? Check whether is it rusty or the connector had worn off on the connection area. This might cause lose in electricity to ur plug.

:cheer:

Glad to have u in my life : ) Always love one another!

Suspect auto choke function jammed open.

I guess only ah :)

Auto choke when cold operate open to allow more fuel to aid starting due to denser air in the morning. And on the opposite, if the auto choke not opening then will be harder to start when cold weather.

Normal mixture not enough fuel as there is more sir than fuel in the morning thus very lean mixture.

When it warms up, the choke closes as the engine heat up the air coming in starts to get warm and now the mixture is correct and the sensor sense the change in temperature and closes the choke.

If the choke is stuck, the idling will get lower like going to stall as now there is more fuel to air ratio thus too much petrol and not enough air. Once you throttle higher, it goes on secondary jet by pass idling jet so the engine won't die, something like that.

Sometimes while riding it becomes ok maybe during riding the vibration cause the choke to close back.

See of the choke can be check or clean or maybe the seal worn, deform or broken.

Again, i am just a guessing.
