here is my so-called svc schedule aft tryin so many mechs i cud possibly can...apart from dat its trial & error from other bikers who are far more experience den me

 

1. engine oil change every 5000km, its better to use semi syn $15 for v-twin, fully syn $18 for inline 4 or sports bcuz its very thin but not gd for long distance, feedback from touring guru...

 

2. oil filter abt $10 aft 10000km or every 2 oil change to keep da flow perfect.

 

3. spark plug another issue if u like power & dun mind changin plugs frequent cuz will blow use iridium abt $20 or plantinum $15 but it only last for short while, due to da misfiring at da coil, best to use a reliable stock specified spark plug mere $10

 

4. apart from dat u need proper tunning of air flow & fuel burning which adversly affects ya bike performance, so-call camel rides, a small tunning screw in between the engine block, not juz da RPM idling.

btw u dun need special computer to tune ya bike like fuel injection bikes cuz da bike its carb.

 

5. air filter need to change aft to carb svc n ya bike feel like no power, i did mine at 40000km, sponge type for better air flow & less heat abt $40 but da original stock one is $150, jfyi i prefer pick up dats why i use mods 1 but it wears on ya engine unlike stock one

 

6. headlites bulbs m5 phoenix halogen $4 at ah boy, da stock one is same as vespa one but not bright & always blow...

 

7. brake pads organic one abt $25 upwards depends on brand oso, sintered one $30 upwards more bitting power but eats up ya disc brake & heats up somehow but last longer but rain its superb grip...hehehe!

 

8. tyres sport & soft compound more $$$ but grips like hell but it wears out very fast, dun use cheap tyre which get crack & harden easily, if u get from ah boy ask him for da real stuff eg pirelli scorpion or sports demon & metz tourance....he bring it in now.... another thing if u getting metz tyres check for bumps now its seemed to be common problem....

Aikon >>> i've done my lights together with wady... was so frustated with the connection that in the end we modify the switches and work perfectly well....

the only problem i encounter is that the lights could be turned on even when the ignition key is off... trying to resolve this problem...

Anyways i modify a 3-pin switch to become a 4-pin switch.

 

For the rest >>> i think this saturday should be fine...so place??? Anyone wants to volunteer their hospitality and do near their place...?

Crashbar - Can get at Mtechnik or Biketech21...if no stock need to wait for the goods...can take bout 2 months...

 

Windshield - Givi windshield....can get from 219 shop at bendemeer road....the shop round the corner to ur right with a big word 'GIVI' on top....

Some used the tall windshield....need to order from Hodaka Motorworld at Ubi

 

Handguard - A lot of varieties...if u go Chong Aik either at Joo Chiat Road or Desker Road can see a lot of varieties... Acerbis got a few designs but fixing it will have a problems....can approach us to fix it...even some of the mechs have trouble fixing...

 

Undercowl - Difficult to get...need to order from davidsphere i think....

 

Fog lights - If u are going touring with this baby...u need to equip one of these...our neighbours road up north are most of the time not well lit at night...

 

Side Panniers - Givi side panniers...with 35l box each side about $450+++(not so sure)...also got keyless panniers also...

Hepco & Becker panniers also available...but very expensive...rack plus box can cost up to $1k and above...

 

Topbox - A lot of varieties....Givi.. H&B...Kappa...the list goes on....

 

Tank Bra - Bagster tankbra from France need to order from Hodaka Motorworld.....got one glossy silver $200...matt black or glossy black not in stock....order and take about 2 mths to arrive...

 

Fender - Very rare u see on a vara...some of us have the Reduced Size BMW fender with a bit of modification....if u interested can approach Abattory

 

Well again all these stuffs....we had some projects going on....can ask our project manager Abattory about that....

Bro, my hazard lights completed...i found the wire to tap so that the current only flows when the ignition is on....

i've totally changed the switch....a 6-pin switch on the market works perfectly well...

 

Wady also did his...the only difference his frequency of the blinks is much faster than mine....could it be the condensor / rally?

eh beb i also cleaned my chain today leh wa. ehehehe. eh now i try this new product GT85 from Small MAH. this is how i clean da chain :

 

1. remove the front sprocket cover and the chain guard

2. Use kerosene and put it in a spray bottle and spray it generously over ya chain.

3 Use also the GT85 and spray it on ya chain.

4. Sit back and wait for 5 mins.

5 Use newspaper and wipe the grime off the chain.

6 Use more kerosene and GT85 and wipe more stuff off the chain.

7. Use washing liquid and wash off the excess kerosene and GT85

8. Use plenty of water to flush off anything

9. Take the bike for a spin to warm and dry the chain.

10 Use an old rag to wipe off any excess water or kerosene

11. Lube the chain. Now m trying maxima Chain Spray works great man!

 

oh yeah lock ya box and ensure that its locked to the bracket! eheheh dam farney lah u eheheh.

Original lah these are NGK OEM spark plugs that come in ya vehicle when u get it brand new from the factory. i.e Honda factory fitted NGK spark plugs.

 

Get it from FJT lah NGK CR8EH-9 $8.50 NOT fake! just different packaging endorsed by Honda to fit ya Honda bike.
