I wonder if I buy 5yr COE, after that i scrape the bike can get back remaining COE money?

If you scrap the bike before COE ends, can get back pro-rated balance of the COE. If you scrapped when COE expires, you dun get back anything. BTW, YOu pay $50 to scrap your bike.

you can choose to renew 5 yrs or 10 yrs when your coe is up.

5yrs coe does not let you renew anymore but its 1/2 the price of the 10yrs

10yrs coe let you renew your coe for the 3rd time if your bike survive till then

don't know never seen 40yr old bike, but seen about 30yr old bike before
