Need some help on an issue with bike shop

I recently bought a 2nd hand R1 06 from a bikeshop, i signed all the paperwork on 21/1. So they say after I pay my downpayment on Monday 24/1 I can get the bike already. But when I went down on Monday, they told me it is not done, so I said it's ok, when can I get the bike? They then said Tuesday 25/1. Then when I went on Tuesday, they told me that I can only get my bike the next day, reason being they haven't settled the cert for the fullsystem of the bike. So today, Wednesday 26/1 I called at around 4pm, they said that I would have to wait till this weekend which is 28/1 or 29/1 then MAYBE can get, if not need to wait till after Chinese new year which is 5/2 like that then can take.

 

Does anyone know how long can bike shops hold a customer's bike for? And is there anything I can do about it..

For a second hand bike, I doubt it should take that long. Pipes certification can be done in a day, as with the insurance application and the bike transfer. Pester the bike shop or offer to do the transfer etc. If they have any guilt, they will expedite.

 

Unless it is explicitly indicated in the agreement on the delivery date, you cannot invoke anything under the Sale of Goods Act or Hire Purchase Act.

i thnk they delay so long , becauase the owner never pass them some remaining items or haven sign transfer fee thats why cannot sell to u yet

but as they comfirm hold yr deposit liao .. means u no horse run .
