Car Insurance in Thailand

Hi fellow driving bikers

 

I'm planning to drive up to Thailand (Ko Samui) this April and needs some advises/lobangs from seniors experienced in this area.

 

My current comprehensive insurance policy covers Singapore, West Malaysia and 80km from Thai border but Ko Samui is beyond that covered zone. I understand that we can buy the temporary Thai 3rd party insurance after crossing the Sadao checkpoint but heard it covers only humans and livestock. Thus, I'm looking for insurance to cover 3rd parties' vehicles/human (and maybe my own if not too expensive) in case suay suay kenna accident.

 

Are there temporary comprehensive insurance available?

 

Please help... thanks in advance.
