URGENT Question regarding private settlement!

Hey guys, I just had my first accident today. A cab driver jam in front of me and my front tyre rubbed against the back of his cab. I paid him 20bucks and he agreed that he will not pursue the matter. I took out a paper and wanted to write some kind of acknowledge form but he refused to sign. Guys, I'm wondering if he turns his back and report me, is there any way i can defend myself and prove that we've settled this privately? Thanks in advance, will appreciate any advice.

u should have force him to sign bro, seriusly, if not u should threatened to call the polics (i.e. say that u hurt or smthing), in an accident, if 1 party is injured u ought to call the police.

 

most taxi drivers has been notoriously known to do as wat u said. they are mostly known to be road bully.

 

1st rule of thumb when in accident, whether it is ur fault or not, is to act that u noe the procedure, dun look blur blur, if not the other party will take advantage of u.

 

in any case..did he took pics of the accident...if he is..he have higher chances of double claim from u..if not..its his werds against ur werds if he wanna make double claim.

 

on ur side, u may want to just make an accident report to ur insurance ASAP n state that it had been settle privately, to cover some of ur backside, in case the taxi driver claim otherwise ( time is also a factor here)
