Yeah speed not enough. Sometimes, sadly, it is the bike also. If it's not the bike, I think it is cause you haven't found the right mix of throttle/clutch yet. Probably your clutch need to release a bit more. This 1, you can only figure out once you get on the bike. Haha.

You are right! Not the bike problem, it's the rider problem!!

Just now Instructor said I released the clutch fast and fully, therefore I have problem changing to gear 2...must hold back abit bit then clutch in again to kick to gear 2.

I gotten 13.08 seconds... bad... I even fall in crank...

Going for 4x this sat... hopefully can complete the lesson and move forward...

Never had that problem. What I encountered was instead of 2nd gear the bike went to neutral so quickly kick up one more time.

that 1 i think is also not fast enough leh...cause it's easier to kick up to 2nd gear if you have the speed...to slow always kena neutral. haha.

anyway, i thought if you release clutch too fast you will stall?

have to faster accelerate and let go of clutch but not too fast..the key is to let go of the clutch fully cos some ppl didnt let go of the clutch fully thats why they never gain enough speed to kick to 2nd gear

Issit? but the instructor mentioned that my problem is, I released the clutch fast and fully (bike still moving) after i moved off then when I clutch in for gear 2 will have problem such as stall or kick to neutral.

Below are my understandings for Fig8 and crank, correct me if i'm wrong:

1. Moved off from the stop line with gear 1 by slowly releasing the clutch and DO NOT release clutch fully, maintain it and open throttle more.

2. Once enter the fig8 and passed the yellow line (which should took only split seconds from the Stop line to the yellow line), release the throttle, clutch in again (note that the clutch is not fully release initially) and kick to gear 2, then slowly release the clutch fully.

3. Open throttle and cancel the signal, use only rear brake to control the speed. Eyeline positioning, lean bike and body abit....

4. Upon reaching the next end yellow line, signal left and turn out.

5. After turn out, apply brakes then clutch in to kick to gear 1.

Not true. Do you know that you can go to any gear even when your bike is stationary? You will stall when you never throttle and let go of the clutch.

That's not true for all bikes though...some bikes in CDC need to have speed to get to gear 2...I know cause I've been on those bikes quite often HAHAHA.

Luck I guess. Just take a look at the tachometer then. When I took licence the bikes have no tachometer at all. Do take into consideration those bikes are like a doorknob. Everyone gets a turn on it.

well, to share abit, do you know you can change gear without clutch? The problem with bike going neutral maybe cause of old engine oil or clutch in too much. It happened to me, you will understand when you are at E-brake section, after brake you hold you clutch in fully and you realise you cannot kick down? Then you need to release abit to make it happen.

Yeah I do know. Thank you for telling me something I already know. FYI I have already gotten my licence years ago if you have not known yet.

Just finished prac 2 first try.. Not good.. Wobble when turning, wrong positioning once, sometimes still stall when moving off.

Does anyone still experience stalling in practical 2 or I really need to buck up on the clutch control? :/

Okay. That's comforting to know. Haha.

Prac 2 second try juz now.

Blind spot checkin not 100%, sometimes forget -.-

Speed too slow when lane changing, caused my bike to wobble.

General moving off, positioning is there alr.

Have to go back for third try next weekend..

Hey guys, fail prac 8 again today. Got pts for wobbling when lane change, then the instructor advised me to lower gear when lane changing to avoid wobble. Whats the logic behind this ah? And what exactly do they mean by wobble?

Never let someone else's irrational fears hold you back.

The logic behind it could be lower gear higher torque so got more power to move steadily. Frankly speaking I have no idea what they mean by wobble. Perhaps you could ask them to clarify.
