I bought a first hand bike 5 months ago, but it has already had two major breakdown. I would like to ask is there any document that I should have received that can prove my bike is a new bike? And what documents the dealer should have given me? The only documents i have is a insurance terms and condition and a paper that states registration of veh which is under lta.

You dont really need any sort of documentation - everything is done paperless in singapore.

You can use this link (Enquire Transfer Fee) to check: https://vrl.lta.gov.sg/lta/vrl/action/pubfunc?ID=EnquireTransferFee

Fill in your bike number and a future date. Itll give you the necessary details - look for Year of Manufacture and Original Registration Date. The bike could a year old or so, but as long as the original registration matches the date you bought the bike it should be golden.

Do you suspect the shop pulled a fast one and gave you a lemon?
