i got 1 question and need to be clear.

when going into the obs course like fig 8 and crank course, do i need to check left hand blind spot before going into the course??

as the instructor always said, check the blind spot first before turning, does this applied to going into this 2 courses????

A second of precaution is an hour of safety. It never hurts to ask.

No need to check for these 2 courses.......left blind spots going into these 2 courses and coming out of these 2 courses no need. Check back b4 u go and IMPT: b4 u turn out check blind spot on the right for oncoming vehicles b4 turning out.

just relax and perform your best. the only obstacle between you and the license is only the tp. you have gone so far, practiced so much, it's time to prove that you deserve the license. good luck for your tp. seems like quite a bit of luck passing around the forum. hope the good luck continues.

what bike you intending to get?

thanks you very the much !!

so what bike you getting??

33 hrs to go before mt TP!! -jhawk2820

Yoz everyone....now jhawk2820's and some of our fellow SBF forumers taking TP test...wish them all the best!

Meanwhile I'm back to flood this thread (so please forgive)....din have time to reply previous posts coz was so tired and sleeping off the stress and excitement of TP day...den will leave the space to the rest when they come back...hopefully wif gd news! :cheer:

Yupz fleaz don't worry! I admit dat on de day u know your result most of us are happy beyond words....and perhaps if some of us did get on a bike dat day; we will probably too excited to be concerned about our safety. The instructor in the room also knows dat....which is why he spent some time talking to us about how we should be careful, and dat our loved ones are always waiting for us to get home each day safely, so we should try to be responsible for our lives.

But it's understandable too how some of us like cannot sit still and listen carefully at first...coz so much effort, time and money all put into dat one day when we finally get license...so we can barely contain ourselves when all the testers have left the room and you are twenty-thirty odd testees left behind. So lucky dat I don't have a bike yet; so I don't have to resist the temptation of riding in this blissful, yet perhaps "dangerous" mood. Somehow I realise it's better to wait a while first for the initial excitement to die down.

I remember this line from the rider's pledge we recited...it's the last line - "I promise to ride safely and stay alive."

(Not sure if I quoted the exact words..but the gist is something like that. Anyone can clarify?)

Yupz it's such a simple line, but it means so much. Really a good motto to "ride" and live by. We owe it to ourselves, our loved ones and the ones who taught us how to ride to do so. Coz to learn to ride, to pass den to die or get injured on the road a few days/weeks/months later (touch wood!) is really sad..that is not our goal at all. Of course as a rider, your luck is more limited than most and we cannot really control what happens to us on the road ie traffic, weather, road users; the only thing we can control is our own actions and knowledge (skills acquired@riding school and safety practices) and attire (safety gear). We also should know ourselves and know when we should not ride (weather bad, mood no good...tired etc). But really, when we do ride, we should strive to stay alive and ride safe.

fleaz and jhawk2820, hope to ride an SP....am looking out for one now. Got any lobang do tell me! :bouncefire: The SP I fell in :lovestruck: at first sight posted in the SBF classifieds has been sold a few days ago. Never wait for me....heartpain....

Anyway I still can't wait to ride on the road! But am waiting for the one (right bike to appear) ...:cheeky: will know it's the one when I see it!

Paiseh to the rest most of my post very :offtopic: :cheer: for your lessons and may you see this day soon too!

Ya, i agree with you & appreciate fleaz's presence here. somewhere along this thread there was accusation of fellow forumers being 'dao' after passing TP & stopped visiting this thread but i feel otherwise. this thread is very much alive with ssdc-alumni and trainees exchanging views, pointers, jokes etc...

i love this thread! :lovestruck:

i thinks girls take about 4-6 lessons to pass lor, depending on your luck also lah. SSCD record is 19 attempts by one girl.

don't worry too much, just stay focus and think about the mistakes the power rangers pointed to you and correct those mistakes. once you get to the outer circuit will be very fast one. they also want to clear the batch fast so that they don't face a bottleneck situation at lesson 1.

what you can do is also to look at your booklet, there are details of every practical lessons, how many parts and the requirements to pass each lesson.

just relax and enjoy riding. need to learn the art of relaxation coz if you don't now, it will be more stressful when you have to do the obstacles in lesson 2 & 3.

cheers!
