SSDC - Anyone Taking 2B There?

i still remembered that i kana accident during my stimulator course.. and i keep e-braking.. coz those "cars" purposely sway into ur lanes one lorx...

 

anyway.. anyone having lessons tml? can help me check the machine at 3rd level whether still can print our own theory test result not.. coz juz now i went for my RTT.. passed.. but cant book.. sian.. cant apply for PDL without tt receipt.. zZz

I know how you feel. My first TP got 42 points! Same as my first Lesson 5 assessment. I felt so pek chek....so more it's those funny funny things like blind spots and wobbles....tick until so many boxes...

 

Your points so low you if you didn't get immediate failures sure will pass one! How come you got at slope and emergency brake lehz?

E-brake went over line ah? Slope roll back over line also?

 

Think just need to practise more circuit....points quite low so your skill muz be quite zhai...unlike me..hehe...

 

Just wanted to ask jhawk - how come you can book TP so early lehz?? On Tuesday, I was worried cannot pass, went to check earliest TP date...it was 11 Aug. Someone cancelled their test date?

the tested give me a nearly / causing an accident at up slope.

 

i stalled my bike engine twice at slope and roll back not more then 0.5m.

 

i dont know the tester meaning of "up slope"? does he mean the slope or at the junction opp the hospital? when i doing a "inch out" a taxi horn me. didnt really know how i got its, i did ask the tester cause i in rush of time.

 

for E-brake, the bike front skid and i fall of the bike. quite bad that the whole body roll out to the outside road. luckily not car was there when i roll out. right leg got some scratches.

 

for booking of TP, i book through kiosk. must book a RR before that then can re-book TP.

book TP as normal.

Just to share with you my TP experiences....hope to make you feel better

My 1st TP din manage to book enuff RR, juz went for 1. So I booked many RC....until I tink I kena very little points in the circuit, kena points outside on the road on my 1st TP.

 

2nd round for TP damn kiasu - book 3 RRs, 3RCs....den on 2nd thought went for 2 more RCs coz I realised even though I improved so much on the road den circuit skills all go down sia....dunno why. I also very worried on TP day coz dunno why my last RC circuit courses also all buay zhai. E-brake kept skidding.

 

On TP day my e-brake damn funny, come to think of it. During warm-up, first time skid over the line...2nd time skid but stopped b4 line...final time din skid at all but wondering if speed enough.

 

During test, I kick up to 3rd gear speed...cross the line...braaakkkeeee......KN, during the last 3 seconds of stopping, the bike start to skid....somemore bike not my warm-up bike dunno why timing very high.....braking effect is not as good. It's at the last few metres b4 I stopped...and if I din squeeze so hard will be over line liaoz...so I bochap....skid a bit....den the bike start to sway, fish tail a bit, den I juz placed my foot down firmly when stopping and straighten the bike. I know the tester looking at me. KN, bochap him (don't even want to look him in the eye coz I was scared he see that I know the bike was skidding to a stop). I just carry on like nothing happened - signal, tap gear, check back very deliberately and went off, cancel signal. Later on, I check my sheet, he juz gave me 2 points for incorrect technique, but nothing else.

 

I din do so well in the circuit coz was a bit nervous, wobble at fig 8, crank course, den my pylon, one of my RC instructors there looking....asked him on my last RC to check my courses....he told me I nearly knocked down one of the cones when I did it during the test and he was quite scared for me. I actually did knock down one in my last RC in his presence. In my mind already mentally ticking all the imaginary boxes on the TP sheet.

 

So after circuit, very demoralized....was worried all these already amounting to more den 18 points...den dunno why on my way out to the road on the slope I positioned bike in middle of lane on the slope. I was first bike so supposed to be more to the right. Later after right turn out from circuit was wondering Did I change left signal to right signal? OH NO!!)(#$*#($*#

 

Very sadzz den....but I was recalling what Vince Loh told me on last RR...he said my road biking not bad already...standard there...so I thought...mebbe still got chance...make sure road all zero points....den perhaps even wif circuit points, still got hope. And really, on the road, did quite zhai, didn't face the same problem right-turning at the hospital also...come back the slope, position correctly, signal correctly....think no mistake at all. I got 16 points, dunno why they din mark me for errors on the slope coming out. But perhaps they didn't see it as a terrible error. Just 2 ticks away from failing.......damn close. That's why I say if jhawk, you can avoid the immediate failures...wow u only had 6 lor. Try again and don't give up k. You can do it one! :cheer:

during my RC and Warm up before the TP, my bike didnt skid and all before the stopping line. maybe to tense up and didnt know i pull the brake too hard and cause wheel lock.

 

well, i been so far, will never " give up", there no turning back. dump so much $$ and time alr. the most, spend more $$ & time on practice. :cheeky:

that time when taking my practice 4.1 (3 trainee), the instructor actually let us tried to play the racing track after the normal training. we only allow to use the 1st and 2nd gear.

 

all 3 of us crash the bike at exact spot = meaning, 3 of us cant be "racer"

putting bike in a van/lorry. ha ha ha

 

cant afford a four wheel la (now driving company van), so prefer to 2 wheels (kips)cause will not forever stay in my present company, unless tio "toto / 4D (50 big, 50 small)

 

then slowly upgrade to 2A and finally to class 2.

 

if i got the $$$, will choose both. its quite difficult to choose only 1 cause there always got pro and cons between them.

ya lor, they only think for their livehood and dont bother abt other roader user.

 

when i driving a van, if a taxi want to come into my lane without signal, i will speed up and force them back to their lane. if they signal, i will let them in

 

i got several bad exp that the taxi driver that any how switch lane or cut into lane with sudden brake to fetch customer. i really piss off when my mum scolding me for driving careless (brake suddenly and follow taxi too closely) when she sitting beside me.

 

they have the thinking that as long they are being hit from the back, they are not in fault.

 

but there are also a small part of helpful and good taxi driver that really need ours

also to some "luxury" car driver thinking that they owns the road. doesnt mean that their car got more cc meaning that they are very exp driver. my big boss is a very good living example of "old ah beng" driver in his Audi A6 that he like to speed driving like no ppl business.

So far I know they will only give you immediate failure if you roll beyond the 0.5 m line..stall engine will also get points if too often and keep happening...but not immediate I think.

 

At the hospital was the taxi turning right into the minor road beside you? Think dat it's not gd to inch out while they are turning right as they have to make a wider turn to avoid you. Before they turn is ok coz they will have already seen you and made an adjustment.

 

E-brake front skid? Sounds quite bad.....ok or not? Roll until next road? Think you probably scared everyone esp the testees behind you....what happened after dat? Did the tester or any instructor come up to see if you were ok behind you continued wif the test?

 

You actually can claim the insurance if anything happens if you lodge a report wif the instructors after the test. Hope you're ok muz go see doctor if it's a more serious injury. think don't press the front brake so hard next time. take care yeah =)

the taxi is on the major road and going straight (travel at the direction away from SSDC).

 

got some rubbing wound on my right leg shin. no big problem

 

the trainee behind me talk to me after the test. i also feel a bit paiseh.

when i fail my TP, i was sad and discouraged...but few days later, someone set fire to bikes in the multi-storey carpark near my house....

 

then i feel LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is what my friend told me too. if pass, will definately source bike at motorshop this coming sat.

 

maybe its really a bless in disguise.

you loose a bit now, and gain more in return. (more RC & RR = more experience)

Thinking of trying riding out in general first and see how it goes. No money lehz...so thinking of saving on my first bike lor....buy a 2nd hand but hopefully maintenance not too costly one....think sp no more new one....only got RR left. beware of some motorshop.... they chopped u like carrot and pork

always deal with motorshop that have good reputation.

and its will be better to bring alonmg a friend that have exp on bike that can help you to choose a better bike and would become a carrot.

 

the only shop i know ASPhoon (changi branch) selling reasonable.

my friend got a frazer 1000 at quite a good price.

 

before i work in my currently company, i also take bus and mrt.
