i think less than 1 week can complete the lessons for 2a. i don't think i patient enough to wait for you for a month. see first lah. still got 11 months to go.

 

for impulsive buying syndrome, easy to cure, go arcade and find a bike racing game to play, at least got the feeling of sitting on a bike. the next best cure until you find a bike.

i damn kiasu, did 1 RC last Sun, this weekend do 2 more RCs then next Mon (25jul) go lesson 5. i just need to do all the obstacles right one time, ie. during evaluation and then i can book lesson 6 liaoz!

haha turnip so u did hw mani RC together b4 going 4 lesson 5?? for mi if RC is free i tink i will go practice everyday haha..wondering if i take RC then next time slot go lesson 5 will be too tired n lose concentration or nt..

 

for mi my general riding , obstacles still nt gd.. tink haf to practise hard b4 going lesson 5..

Depends on you lor ah min...some say that doing RC b4 Lesson 5 helps if you can stand about 2-3 hours on the bike without a lot of time for a break in between. Depends on the time also...in the morning more tiring than at night. I admit it can be tiring when i tried it once..such that later though i was more prepared for Lesson 5, less able to perform coz of fatigue.

 

2nd Lesson 5, I did one RC in the morning first session....then came back about 4.40pm the same day...in between went back relax and rest lor....if you can afford to, this is one way. As long as you have sufficient practise, I think you should do well no matter how you arrange your RCs with your Lesson 5.

Today i went for my lesson 7. The instructor tell me "u must come again" because... he said i m still abit panicky on road and my u turns are horrible. how to gain confidence on road riding? he said i should come for more circuit revision to brush up on my riding but circuit and road is so different!

for u turn, i can only say " practice more"

 

as for how to increase road confidence, i think u need to provide more info...

 

(1) u dun dare to go fast???

(2) scared car will hit u from behind, when u are travelling??

(3) afraid to lane change??

 

or what??

 

if u dun dare to go fast or afraid to lane change, i suggest try going on a ride wif your friend on motorbike...... if u had any.... ask them to show u how they lane change and increase speed.....

 

if u afraid car will hit u from behind, dun worry too much, if u give them enuff allowance, they will "auto" get away from u one......

 

i think having more confidence about riding also helps.... show the instructors u can ride safely on the road and they will pass u....

angel22 i can understand ur situation mi also tat kind of no confidence when riding .. nobody can help except OURSELVES!!! power ranger told mi b4 if i always no confidence i wun improve n will always struck at the same place. Bt when sometimes i zhai zhai n gain confidence everything went smoothly when riding!!

The instructor said i m abit panicky on road because of the way i handle myself when there are alot of cars behind me when i want to change lane. I think its a fear that someone might hit me from behind again because i was ever hit from behind while as a pillion on a bike so subconsciously i m afraid that might happen again.

 

Then he said my general riding is good except that i road hog, i dont do wide / sharp turning, i check back properly and my blind spots but then he said i m road hogging because i m going 40+km/h only when the speed of the road is 70km/h. That one i really dunno how to correct. ...

 

 

try again on saturday afternoon 4.40pm... one day... one day they will accept my road hogging speed

Anyway, good luck! Usually Pract 7 can be passed either on the first or second time.

haha ah min but when i go road i get nervous about other vehicles... although it wasnt as bad as my 1st road lesson where i was so anxious whenever i saw a bus or speeding vehicle!

 

i got some off days leh... some days ride well some days ride like rubbish

me ar.. I, erhrm.. stop for almost 2 months le. No time to go back. Haha..

 

Anyway, maybe you can try to take leave and book for off-peak practicals. Traffic is sparse and you might not feel as threatened.

ok guys i need abit of advice again lol ... always asking you all rather than the instructors but sometimes its better i feel.

 

U know when u go out to the roads (if u still can remember), how do u all delay the turning so that your bike will be completely straight when u are on that steep slope before u turn right out of the circuit? The instructor told me to delay the turning but how i delay the bike still abit slanting... i need to correct that problem also.

usuall y instructor will ask us to keep in the center of the road before turning.

my advice is that keep more to the right side of the road before turning left to the road that going out of the circuit.

 

but not too right side la.

the sapce you craete will allow you to have more space to turn and time to adjust your bike straight.

 

else, slow down your bike (travell at 1st gear) and therefore you got more time to see where you going and adjust.

He never said whether to travel on the right or the centre even ... or maybe i never listen properly lah haha! anyway after i made the mistake he just kept telling "delay your turning , delay your turning".

 

Ok I'll bear in mind what u said. I admit I went down the slope quite fast also. Should have went down using gear 1.

altogether i booked 3 RCs already. boh bian leh, kiasu and hoping to pass lesson 5 fast. i went one last Sunday, going for another one tomorrow and one more on Sunday.
