Hey fellas,

 

Did anyone here remove the P.A.I.R. (Pulse Secondary Air Injection) system?

 

Did some reading over the net and found out that it may give a false reading during tuning, due to the additional fresh air being pumped into the exhaust port of each chamber. It is also said to be the cause of all the backfiring encountered during deceleration.

Hmm... just saw a FX plate FI vara with givi side panniers along bukit batok road towards chua chu kang. He had the varas sticker on his bike. Just wanted to say hi :smile:.. but I guess he was in a rush bah...

Checked out the International forum but not much info on the PAIR system. But other non-related website did talk about removing it, except not for a Vara. The ride is great but the rear shocks must be changed. Only matter of $$$$.

 

Also, CCK Cres got 2 Vara park same carpark. EFI and Carbie. :)

William Tan > Bro, actually from what I gather the PAIR system just helps burn the exhaust fumes more thoroughly... that's all... is there any restriction that you know off?

 

Rear shocks can be changed at MTechnik.... technoflex.. but the bike will become higher after the change.

the stupid PAIR system also causing my bike to jerk when the bike is cold...

 

u needn't worry abt william's bike being too high...he wil prob bring the bike back down...kekekeek

Hello fellas. I've gone and removed the PAIR system from my bike. I do not and did not expect any performance increase. The only benefit I see is:

 

1. No more "popping"

2. All air being channeled into the carbs instead of a little leaking to the PAIR system.

Job was done by Rosli, the only mechanic that is allowed to work on my bike (other than me, of course :smile: .). Let me know if anyone is interested.

Hi guys, just installed the hid on my laladello. I have attached some pix. Actually the pix dont justify the effect of the lights coz my camera phone lousy at night shots.

Have to see the acutal light then you can get a better picture. Literally lights up the expressway due to the height of our bike. :thumb: Whether its a nuisance to other road users... donno yet... have to try out for a few more nights.

This was the hid bulb that was used. Has two bulbs combines. low beam is hid, high beam is halogen.
