Hey Bros

long time no see u all and post in this forum

For the benefit for those bros who would be/ want to get a Big tank , I will list down some pointers which I think you all would be interested to know.

1. The tank is bigger and heavier than the original tank. Althou its fiber glass made but still, its alot thicker and bigger than the original tank. Also comes unpainted, so u can paint whatever color u like to it

2. The capacity is 49l , yes 49l , 24l more than the original. So refuelling at MSia will be abt close to 100RM . The look on the pump attendent is simply priceless when u r paying hahahaha

3. It will last u a good 700km till it drys up, yes I rode till its dry up. Well 700km depending on how u ride ur precious

4. Once the tank is fixed up, u can't judge the amount of fuel left inside as the reserve indicator will be useless as you can't put any sensor inside the BIG tank

5. NO it cant be hook up with crash bar. The 2 sides of the tank are hanging down which block the hole for holding the crashbar to the chasis So gotta ride carefully .. but if u r unlucky enough to be caught in a spill, can use a fiber glass repair kit to mend the tank . Thats the good point of it over metal tanks. Also it comes with fairings to accommodate the huge tank. U can hang ur original set at home.

6. Fittment of the tank will takes about 1-2 days need to mod a fair bit , nothing complicated , I would recommend 123 bike. Located along the shophouse located near Ducati showroom. Ah Mun done up mine, I am happy with it

7. The tank costs about SGD2.5k inclusive of freight. But now euro up liao , so might cost more Try to get the lockable acerbis tank lid as the supplied piece is just screw on. Will come with Side indicators, fuel valves, fuel hoses, fairings.

8.Pulling the bike on mainstand after fixing the tank is NOT a problem at all, I am 1.75m ,70kgs yet its a breeze. Technic counts more than weight or height here.

9. Why get the tank? Well , petrol prices is at all time high.. so go figure hahaha . Also can go longer w/o refuelling , which is good for touring as it wouldn't breaks the momentum of the journey. Last but not least , I got nothing much to MOd on my Fatger that time so ... wanna make it exclusive loh... BUt overall I think its money well spent!

So in case you boys still didn't get the idea how big tank looks like heres some picts for ur viewin pleasure

After

Guys let me know if u all getting the tank . If I can help I will certainly help out on all ur enquires

Atwin, not too sure yet. Maybe a night or two. No fixed plans, so may just change destination or stay put.

hi all just out of curiousity which would be a good aftermarket end cans for vara 1k carb model? does it increases performance or just louder pipe sound ??

William Tan>> i thot u already got one...

Kenny>> haha....his backside itchy already...time to get more stuff to his bike.:cheeky: How about u.

Lsambora67>> Depend on your preference and budget....Arrow, neo vince , laser....Definitely increase in performance. Maybe u can try the leo vince, cheaper than arrow.
