sometimes you could be at a very famous location or beautiful landscape, but without capturing the moment at the right angle and time,it won't turn out good

P/S: Is it true the original last longer than the aftermarket pump?

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l306/joemac_kint/misc%20pic/untitled123456.jpg

Where got LONG WAY DOWN? Its just around the corner what?!?!?! eeerrmm. JUST a very long corner i mean...

phillip>> got vara for sale ...interested to upgrade...

joemac>> can get it for motoworld...ard 65 bucks. The OEM cost ard $140...as for rectifier ard $65 (bought it 2 yr ago & still no chance to use it). my 1st OEM pump lasted me 24,000km & lucky someone got spare fuel pump, if not have to tow back from malaysia. The 2nd mitsui pump work well after 48,000km. just bring spare pump for long ride will do.

haha....i think At155, simon also qualify it...too bad i didn't see it. The guys who behind him saw all the stun movement peform by him...bike near to the ledge & pass thru in btw the two warning poles..still imagine how he go thru it with his two side boxes on it.:giddy: anyway just beware of the pools of mountain water at the sharp bends...the part i almost skidded when "cup" corner..kekeke..too much fun until i don't realise the danger of it.

tnx ATwin for the info. Didn't know the oem is WAY-more EX than aftermarket! need it for spare as i had no idea when was the last time the previous owner change it. Currently, out of nowhere i realise that my ride idealing is not stable but i think it could be carb issuie! the last time service the carb is about 9 months ago! nway, will source for it tmrw. is it Just these 2 important MAJOR items to bring for spare beside neccesary tools like pumps, puntured worms, etc etc... i noe a healthy battery is a must during a long trip.

just tune up ur idiling higher ard 1000-1200 rpm...not need to service ur carb often as compare to scramber. keke...bcos i also like to went for servicing my ex-scramber after a few ride last time. My advice, just service ur air-filter (usually i service ard 25,000-30,000km of ride), change spark plug after 10,000km ride ($12 indrium from FJY). Carb syn, valve clearance some said ard 50,00km. 1 cycle..100,000km just do major change eg. starter coil, clutch plates, gasket. Maybe Kenny can give some advice, what are the stuff to change after 1 cycle...beside the basic stuff i have mention.

Stuff always brings for vara on long trip are: fuel pump, rectifier, spark plug, clutch cables, tyre repair kits (always keep under my seat), all rating of fuse. battery also (applied to 2 weeks trip only). Aiyo , if go trip with me don't worry abt that unless major fault & cannot rectify.

and lastly my recent change of fuel filter....bike seems not to responds well...some kind of chokage with less petrol pumping in. Usually at the start up part,i think petrol in JB a bit dirty..Got it from FJT $6(Thai made) or $13 (Japan). Work smoothly after change.

yup..agree with ATwin: dun have to service carb too much. 9 months is really quite recent to me..haha

i will change my oil filter and clean the air filter after every 10,000km, with engine oil change every 5000km. spark plugs will take out and see the condition. normally I change every 20,000 - 30,000km?

my clutch change was at 120,000km while my starter coil changed at ard 90,000km. for these big ticket items, my mantra is if it aint broke, don't fix it....by right supposed to do valve clearance every like 50,000km but i only did it once.

Of course, i will bring the bike for a checkup before any major trip to make sure a clean bill of health before gg. (i only have one mech touching my bike so that he knows the servicing done too) travelling with Atwin is easiest, even i dun bring battery!!! hahaha...

ATwin > What petrol brand u pumped in JB. My fren's vara had similar experience of choking n instable idling after pumping Shell recently. He has since reverted to Esso n bike is back to rollin gd times. I also think the petrol there ain't as top quality as here. But wat to do, it's hell lot cheaper.

Is the next Polo T order still on? Can I order? Wanna have it as momento tho no longer having my Vara.
