Don> very nice pic on Vara adventure.

Yeah Bro tis pic was suppose to be use for Our Tee,at the back of it...but the project was off...

Dondide>> Wooo...u still manage to get back the old threads again. I understand , organise a long trip is not an easy task especially everyone has his own work & family commitments (lucky my wife always support me for the trip, so no problem). Anyway we are all grown up adults & i'm sure everyone will understand each other personal problems. If we miss the trip ride, there's always another trip ride awaiting for us unless we give up riding. So don't feel gulity or sorry if we cannot make it for the trip ride. We are here to make friend & enjoy each other company. That why i'm glad that our vara become lively again.....

Dondide, Ian & Fuji>> sorry guys have to cancel my trip plan to samui due to last minutes work commitments. Any i will assists to input more info for you guys for the trip. Ian, u can have my gps for the samui trip.

Bro,actually I'm glad that the thread were alive again, and having the close riding culture and ppl to fall back to. Bout U unable to go well tat's ok..there's always other time... what we nd is the experience of Riding, only then we can SHARE ... Is it in October the "3 Nation ride" of something,Right?????

Everything has been said before, but since nobody listens we have to keep going back and begin all over again.

I think David (Atwin) put in alot to make The thread and the group come alive .. kudos to him.He is the pioneer batch that still keep the group going.

Well Don , simplybochup is 1 of the special breed , he is super hard core type. More to a lone ranger liao ....

well VARA come a long way , lets just njoy it and forget the bad stuff from the past . (esp the good old "Visual"... wonder what he is doing now and on what ride)..

Sometime I saw a Varadero on the road zooming past my tortise car, i nvr fail to look out for the logo . and would have the feeling of seeing an old fren, no matter who is it on the bike ,with the sticker.

Yan>> I am in for the BBq ,satu orang k, will trf u the cash . Can PM me ur HP number so i can confirm once trf

brudders,

Remember the proposed M.O for the rear huggers? Well, we've decided to save costs by doing the DIY rubber mud flap.. Will be happy to help those bros interested to fit the mud flap..

Rear hugger $180 VS rubber mud flap $3 - $4

Does the job.. :thumb:

Kenny & Atwin>>> Thanks for the suggestion of using the mud flap.

How was China bro? Well, for the mud flap... i used the cabstar lorry ones and cut them to shape.. needs a bit of trimming here and there as to suit individual rider's suspension and their compressed height.

You wanna fit one?

Yancurly>>> No problem bro... better find another brother to share cost of the mudflap.. it comes in a pair. $6 - $8 per pack.

Zac >> I will start by saying that I'm glad the damage for your bike was not that much and you are up & already riding your fatgerl... Also good to know that Hua Chin carries parts for our bikes oso.. Extremely good news for VARAs staying in the West area.

Secondly, I must admit that as rider, I have lesser than expected experience if based on the other VARA chaps same as my age.. Only manage to clear my 2B in 2004!!! SOme of yous might ask why so late?.. All i can gv reason is that I am a filial son.. pull-stop!

But I learnt a lot from my VARA brudders and I truly appreciate the wisdom and sharing.. to all, I thank you very much.. you given me a life which I only never thought i may be in.. this bond amongst us is ,................................

I thank you bro for your generous words for i am pleased. Pleased that i could be of any use to any one of us.

I took great pride in learning all about how wngines work and after the basic understanding, i then learnt alot from hundreds of trips to the bike shops.

To me, hua chin is about ease. Definitely becos i stay in the west. Prior to that i have supported HKL, when he was just a small fry from 1994-1998. After that, it was always southern motor which until today still remembers me as gemuk or 3115, my nighthawk number. Thats from 98-2003 and after that it has been hua chin.

My comments on who is good and who is not is subjective. But i wholly believe that you have to be ard when the bike's being worked on. I have that luxury given my job's flexibility. I believe to instill in a mechanic how you are and how you want things done. From there, everytime i go into hua chin and look for any mechanic, they know from the onset that i am a no nonsense man when it comes to my ride. I have on couple of occassions also given ah khoon a few words in heat. That i guess just helps ah khoon and the mechanics handle me better. They know i am definitely not one who they can pull a fast one with. they know how to make sure i am happy and i will not tolerate sloppy werk. i often even show them myself how to be neater when dealing with my bike.

When one just bochap and sit ard doing nothing, thats when hua chins mechanics can get to you. They are very sloppy. Sometimes i even have to remind them to use certain tools to get the job done. I think it just comes with understanding your bike and a whole of experience from over the years which is also why i love riding. Even the repair part is knowledge for me and in this life, i live to learn. Also maybe occupational hazard lah. Even all my workers in Vegas know that i am no nonsense. I demand the best level of workmanship for my clients who put their hard earned thousands in my hands. I have to date closed deals exceeding a million bucks in total and that i believe is trusted to me. So no shoddy work for me. Its either a good job or dun do it. No half past six work for me.

Enjoy riding bro, even the learning your bike thru breakdown parts and you will find life very fullfilling.

God bless.
