I am really pleased with the response, Very nice. Its not going to be a nice aircon windy environment. In fact, it will be hot stuffy and sweaty but just for the festive season lah. Just for the fun and the unlimited supply of BUrungs, ahhahha, Let's go bros. More brudders more.

Hey guys, pardon me if this is on the wrong forum but I think it should be.

 

I've been trying to look all over for a thread about the 1k Vara's little brother but had no luck and I was hoping to get some answers on the price range I can expect when buying the 125cc Varadero and what are your personal views on the bike? (Im totally in love with how it looks for a 125cc commuter )

 

I'm currently learning my 2B and am very excited to making my 1st purchase by the end of this year.

 

And I know this may be even rarer, but is the Honda Custom 125CM still being sold? You know, that red and white painted fuel tank with black seats with 'Boon Siew Honda' on the fuel tank? Where can we find one of these nowadays and how much can we expect to fork out for it?

Heh, sorry sorry My 1st choice was the vara. The Custom 125CM was my 2nd. I don't mind the Custome 125 really because this uncle in my estate has one and I kinda like oldie bikes. I'm also just looking for something that can get me around with a budget of 2-6k.

U jus ask on e thread...it's better..cos ur budget can get 3rd hand Vara125...else dun look for a 1st hand bike go get 2nd hand ones....any bike...rmbr it's the experience of riding that u need when riding a 2b bike not glamour....

Hey bro, the Varadero 125 is still selling in the shops with a hefty tag. Its still a relatively new bike in the resale market. be prepared to pay anywhere from 4-7k for a decent to a good machine ( depending again on age). If you choose to get the CM125 Custom, then its a very good choice cos there are many old ones to choose from. Some of them that have passed the 10 year mark you can even get for like 1k or so.

 

My advice will be for you to get something 6-8 years old, which will also cost no more than 1.5k. Use it for your 2B days. Save and spend more on your Class 2A bike. Trust me, when you get your 2A, you will itching for a change. Itching for the power and speed. Keep your dollar for something more worth it.

Yeah man bro, i still remember my first bike too. I was lucky lah, Dad got it for me. It cost me 1200 and i was the 14TH OWNER. But it was a sweetheart. Ran 120 kmph on the first time after a major service. Sweet.

I rather get him a decent auto scoot and save for his retirement. He will need money then. Just being practical bro. Buy new bike and he might not even ride it. As it is, i have a Nighthawk he hardly touches. Macam once in two months then he ride once. Tsk.

 

Best part is he will remind me every now and then to leave the keys behind just in case he wants to ride. But above all, HE THE MAN LAH. In wrestling terms, THE BIG BOSS MAN. Hahahha.

Not bad leh, i got the chrome round indicators, chrome grips.....and LCKC, my rims is hand PAINTED HOR. Use $2 paint and brush and paint. Its was very nice.....Ppl say spray one,,,,i smile only. spend one whole day use chinese painting brush and paint leh. Hahahhhah.
