Bro, this is my block leave (so called).... company is not doing very well so this is kinda force leave... to tell you the truth, i only left with 1.5days leave.. so the company force my 1.5 days leave and no pay leave for 2.5 days... my block leave starts on 29/12/08 and ends on 2/01/09.... i only can travel on the 31st because pay day mah... hehehe.... company will again force leave on upcoming chinese new year.... very-very sad man... cut my pay some more... :cry: knn...

So i guess make the use of this period to be happy and ride ride ride...... got 1 whole week not working....

no worries bro... i'll hold your words that you gonna bring me to cambodia and mhs... sure sure must must go... trip of the year.....

curly>> Yup , the HKL that is doing dyno.

As for your hiccups, it would be good to send it there to check. I suspect might be carb needle or carb problems. Only happens when u throttle fast right, might be needle at top end position is worn , can't regulate the fuel flow therefore too much fuel being feed into the cylinders. Resulting in your hiccups problem when u fisted it due to incomplete combustion. Just my 2 cents worth ... heheh to confirm , you gotta send to the pro to do a check. Strip it up and all will be clear.

Anyway, I was also informed that my carbs are suspected to up the lorry already, thats y need David's carb to confirm it. Else would be my needle thats a gone. All will prevail on Monday. keke

Also I cant send on Fri is because the tank is full of juice! Hahaha Dun wan the mechs to curse and swear at me for giving them weights training.

Bro, ur analysis is spot on... Most probably I will be going on fri... My heart pain feeling my fatgerl suffering..

I hope that the damage is something which can be remedied easily in few hours of servicing. Anyway any quote from HKL wen u consulted them? btw, checked out their website and noticed about Dyno testing..read the dyno run-in for used bikes.. I am interested.. Do I have to make appointment or can I ask them to do it together once my bike problem solved?

U mention above abt giving the mechs abt weight training.. Dat's a good one!!!! *LOL*

I have a better proposal....Y not U be AMONG the Elite and cover 6 to 7 Country at One GO...it won't be a touch and Go Ride neither will it take that Long...We'll go to places required and a Must Try Ones.... :thumb: been That Done That...ALMOST...LOL:cheeky:

Hi guys,

me and tony are back.

it was raining and we were travelling 130kmh

i was riding in lane 2 when tony, on lane 1, suddenly overtake me with his whole bike whopping pass me. his bike literally drifted right into my lane with his left side facing directly at me. as i attempted to brake and slow, my bike start whopping too. i saw his bike fell to his right and landed on him. that's how his right leg kanan fracture. his bike slided down the road while he was sliding towards the shoulder road. i was still in control of the bike until my tyre went over the white dotted lines which was painted black, which was in the middle of the road. that's when my bike lost balance and i fell on my left. luckily my left leg was saved by my crash bar. i was wearing only my raincoat! i suffer bruises and knee cap skin scratches. i was lucky. thank God.

i remember there was many cars behind me. the moment i landed on the ground, i quickly got up and dash to the road shoulder to prevent from being run over by cars. luckily for me, i managed to brake enough before the fall.

one passerby told me that we were very luckily as there was a big bus behind me and it quickly went into the right lane to prevent hitting us.

i rush up to tony and saw that his right leg was twisted. his feet was facing backwards!!! his mouth was filled with blood. i dare not remove his helmet. scare cause more injury. he was trying to breath. thr the blood in his mouth

many ppl stopped by to assist. one guy remove his helmet. i got a pen knike and cut his pants and remove his other boots to make him more comfortable.

he kept saying that his right leg is very painful and want to straight it. i dare not in fear i may crack his bones. so i had to comfort him by talking to him constantly. damned stressed. kept telling him ambulance coming coming... at that moment, the best thing to do is talk and engage him. know he has undergo shock. need to talk to sober him.

i took his glove and let his head rest on it. sometimes, he sat up and i have to support him with my tired body.

someone called the ambulance. ambulance was slow. why? because every damn cars slow down to see what happened and the poor ambulance stuck at the end of the traffic jam.

it was raining. passerby took out their umbrella to shelter us.

ambulance came. they pick him up and rush to hospital. luckliy for us, the nearest hospital is sungei buloh hospital which is down the road. this hospital has the most patient due to highway accident because it is the nearest to highway.

with the help of the passerby, we pushed his bike to the road side. my bike managed to start and i ride and park next to his.

i left his boots, gloves, and his new helmet on the floor next to his bike.

passerby kept telling me ask tow to bring the bike away in fear that it may be stolen anytime.

i rode my bike to the hospital. saw him settling on the bed and sent for xray. i looked around for medical supply and bandage myself. as it seem it was holiday for them, they do not really bother much. so i help myself to clean up my wounds and bandage to stop the bleeding.

after a while, he came out and the doc told me that xray shows his brain, his lung and other parts are ok. except his leg. 2 fracture parts. he was given pain killer and stop the pain. and he calmed down.

i took my helmet and stood in the rain and ask for help. to bring me to the accident scene. it was tough. i don't know malay. cant talk to them. finally a guy stopped and say he can take me there.. just need coffee money.. sure sure.. why not.

the ride was long, i did not realise it was far from hospital. i paid rm50, run across the highway. the accident scene is still jammed with cars. when i arrive the other side, i realised that 3 hrs later, a malaysia ninja 900 fell just 20m before tony's parked bike. no wonder still jam. wonder if the works of the stupid black slippy line on the road.

i managed to start his bike and rode back to hospital. damned heavy, dammed stressed and still shocked from the fall. but i got to settle the bike as there is noone else.

i managed to contact the wife to come see him. looking at the way his leg was twisted, i fear that it may be broken.

i kept telling david i want to go back spore when his wife reached. want to go back. want to go back. maybe still shocked.

david and kc assisted to get contact for towing. it was tough. one shop has to wait next day and i do not want the bike to be in malaysia when tony is sent back to spore by wife. it was tough decision for david, kc and me.

finally, it was decided that we bring it as close as possible to spore... jb custom. by 1am, a tow came from KL and bring the bike back to custom. due poor understanding, the stupid guy send the bike to jb town instead of tuas custom!! even when the passerby explain to him!!!

anyway, thanks to david and kc, they went into jb town to pick up.

leaving the wife by the side of tony, i have to find info how to bring him back to spore. if he kanan operation there, he has to stay there for long period and it will be very tough for him and his wife. we have to wait for next morning for his condition to stablised. it will at our own risk to bring him back.

i knocked out on an empty bed next to tony. his wife accompany on chair whole night.

next morning, i was fresher.quickly contacted and book the private ambulance to bring him back. his wife settled the hospital bill so that he can discharge.

the private ambulance ppl are very helpful and careful with him. finally he was on his way back to spore with his wife.

i go on my bike and travel back to spore alone. still flashes of images of the accident. scary. not much cars on the road. but all traveling at 100kmh. i think it is a good travelling speed. allow good braking distance. many tots come to my mind how to prevent another case.

because i still want to ride. this time, no more next time.

Haha.....nice vara poem, lucky u extend your stand. Maybe it's God's will that want you to stay back. Now thinking back, when riding alone in the wet & cold night....(somemore at high speed due to rushing home before midnite) Make me feel that should not ride alone next time...especially in the night. U must take care of me next time.

Yaya....KC & me was shock that when u told us that u want to ride back home immdeiately when tony's wife reached...Maybe u still shock at that moment & haven't recover during the incident. Llucky i never scolded u...( KC & me were talking how's come u just want to leave them alone). Anyway glad that u have been taking good care of them during the incident....

KC & me having a hard time in sourcing the tow bike service in malaysia...most of them i got it either busy, too expensive or distance too far from JB. In the end manage to get the nearest tow service from KL & manage to bargain from 1.6k to 1.2k to Tuas check pt . From Tuas Check pt, we need to arrange our local tow service to tow back to our local workshop.

Maybe from now we should do our homework more precisely & getting all the contact from malaysia & thailand tow service, emergency contact no..etc....

Hi all,

Been riding my "new" Vara about a little bit and the handle bars feel strange as I used to the straighter Africa twin bars, these are Renthals (the seller says) and are bend toward the rider enough that i don't find them comfy. Anyone got a fix for that?
