anyone here ever replace their vara radiator,mine is leaking and need to be replaced juz when to mteknik ken quote me 780,if really go not choice have to change...haizzzzzzzz

I think radiator leak can be rewelded....when i was at the JB bikeshop,i keep seeing people sending car radiator to be argon welded there...this would cost peanuts than the price you stated for a new one...

 

So,it's worth the try dude...Let me know if you want to try out...i could bring you there...:thumb:

it should be the other way round...convert Vara to AT...have you seen the Twindero?one of the reason why i am still have the Vara1k in mind...Some Vara have fitted AT tank,sideboards,and the whole front fairing and front shrouds.makes the bike looks more compact.:thumb:

 

Any FI vara wanna swap with TDM?:shy:

Older radiators are brass so easy to solder, most newer cars and bikes are alloy so need to be TIG welded. Position of leak is important, if the leak is on the tube (usually due to stone damage) most likely be on the front / leading edge of the tube should not be so difficult, if the leak is inside between tubes forget it, almost impossible to repair without total rebuild. Another common leak point is a stress fracture either at a mounting point or around the connection tubes for the hoses, usually not so difficult to do.

 

If I can see it I will advise best solution. If you can't find someone to do in JB i.e have to buy new, nothing to loose then I am willing to have a go, last resort only remember.

 

Definately must renew hoses, how old already?

Vara is gone but back strain lingers on o_O

Soory gays.. KO-ed...today been running from middle eastern to far west, then to east of sgp then to northern, then back to middle eastern then to west...reach hm arnd 7.30 and kaput! low batt!!!! yyyaaarrrwwwwnnnn.. jus woke up time says 3.30am!! yet still sleepy after a refreshing shower..
