Heya guys, i am sorry but i clearly remember that i changed my brake pads for the front tyre before our malacca trip last year and it clearly cost me only 56 for both the front and on a previous occassion, i change the rear pads for only 28 and all this was also Goldfren like what david said. Done at Hua Chin, bukit batok. I cant be wrong on this one for sure.

 

Dun register the more expensive numbers being quoted here and my braking is gooooooood.

 

Bro, apparently, the prices for japanese-type motor products have gone up; even japanese-type motorbikes.. the prices of brands u mention have risen..

 

Anyway, there's always 2 alternatives to changin brakes pads..

first is use the oem ones which last longer but more expensive. second is use the aftermarket ones which might not last as long but less expensive.

Hey bro, rain also i ride my RC 250 to meet up with you all bro. There is nothing like riding in the rain dude. Cannot MIA lah bro. Oredi some bros MIA until i cant remember how they look like. Luckily i got photographs to remind me how they look like. U have no excuse.

12. Cooling fan gaskets X 2

13. Thermostat sensor for cooling fan

14. Clutch Gasket

15. Rear Brake disc

16. Rear Brake pads

17. Grind Pistons X 2

18. Denso Plugs X 2

19. Coolant flush + Engine Ice

20. Engine flush + New EO, Bel Ray V-Twin, fully synthetic

21. Cooling Fan thermostat gaskets

22. Install only Scottoiler

23. Install only Clutch cable

Ah Xiong from HKL said its the most comprehensive set up/service done on any Vara till date in HKL. and that it will be as good as almost new after the works. Many of the parts i chose to replace too for peace of mind bros. Price wise, i think it was more than fair and i dun think anyone can give me the peace of mind and quality for the price i am paying.

 

So i think this Hatyai trip will be a blast huh? No more pulling punches back. I SAY GIVE.

OEM i thot is gold fren....$70 or more can get the EBC brake pads. Next time buy parts & let the change for you at one shot eg. when change engine oil or oil filter...maybe they don't charge u at all or at minium $$$. More comprehensive job required go & find Ah Xiong. Anyway HKL Ah Bee boss also need to earn, if not how's to substain his HKL girl ...:angel:

Yeah bro battery, rectifier and fuel pump is relatively new. Anyways i have spares for these items just in case. Anything else that can be replaced is. One time pain. After that all pleasure bro. I really am excited to ride now.

Goldfren for our bikes is there bro. On the rack. he quoted 25 for normal ones and 35 for the better ones. both from Goldfren. I have been using Goldfren for a couple of years now dude. I swear its good enuff.
