Furukawa or Yuasa battery better? my original batt is FTX14-BS, bought YTX14-BS from Yuasa last month to replace, now got this kinda problem..maybe should stick to FTX...

No worries about my batt bro,,, Just stick to your recommended specs bro...If its supposed to be FTX then get that....mine is YTX right?

 

As for furukawa or yuasa....from my understanding, Yuasa has shifted operations to Taiwan and is no longer a japanese battery,,,,furukawa is still japanese...somehow or rather, i will still trust the japanese with their stringent quality control...However, its a tough choice cos yuasa still remains as the most prefered brand by most bike producers ard the world..... I will still go for Yuasa for my vara,,, as for my nighthawk, i am using furukawa for the last 4 years or so, and its never given up on me. Got it from ahboy.... Really, i wouldnt know if you ask me. But i guess its either one or maybe if i had the liberty to choose side by side, i will go for the lower costing one. Really no preference for me lah.

yups yups smoother ride n better fuel consumption, but i remove it from stx n fixed it to my little steed coz stx is already extremely smooth and fuel consumption dont bother me as its not my daily ride

Thanks for all teh input. Yea..the only thing that really bugs me abt teh vara1k is the weight and size of it. haha.. huge man. But no doubt beautiful. Ive seen teh power for my self..so nuttin to say there. the AT, i like the offroad look of the bike. slimer. nimble. but yea...its old and over priced. spoke rims..no issue..can always convert to tubeless. if i get a vara..i'll do the same. I prefer teh look of spoke wheels.

 

oh well, ive got some time to think bat things till my class 2. hopefully AJ will mod his vara extensively...and then get sick of it...and see it..

On a separate note, the Vara125 guys are having a small gathering at simpang bedok tonight. Those who are free..pls drop by. Would be good to meet up and TCSS over some good food and drinks.

paypal business, send to normal account, minus sgd$1 from bank coz less than their min amount for $199.99 SGD or less
