curly >> sad to hear that fuel pump 5hitto happened on your fatger... if I am not wrong , many pages ago did have some advise on how to still ride the bike when pump is down. something to do with rerouting the fuel line, hope all is fine with ur fatger.

All>> just a tot, I emailed Corbin regarding my seat. I was quoted USD 299 for recovering the seat, $429 for a new piece

So I was advised to get a new piece.Sure why not as price not much diff... so I check the freight . Its was 410USD... =0

So I am toying with this idea. Why not we conduct a mass order on this Brand, who ever is interested is free to come in. Be it the VARA boys , CB4 , Sports , Yamaha we try to fill up a container worth of seats and we ship them into Sg.

I am sure the price of freight would be less shocking and much more bearable. I know to charter a container would be much lesser than getting just 1 item. And USD is so lame now that Obama weeps.

And more so ever, we can ever get a nice discount for such a big bulk purchase. =)

What say u guys?

I'm in for the order....if don't have sufficient order, we arrange our shipment ourself...definitely cheaper as what they quoted.

Heya David, i am all for this place man...In fact, i will be the first to sign up for this ride/holiday. GOOOOd price and certainly sounds like good fun. Lets plan...Looks like Vara is going to ride again soon. WoooHooot!!!!

In fact this was exactly what i had in mind,,, a short ride and makan and bbq and all that...May i suggest that when we plan this, we leave early from singapore and drop by the kota tinggi waterfalls and then check in at the homestay ard lunchtime? That will be a great outing bros. Or we could do the waterfalls on the second day morning before going back to the homestay for checkout.

We discuss the trip during the BBQ...anyway what is the arrangement of the BBQ....Food & preparartion that we have not been discussing...shall we have another final meetup for all the stuffs...it;s another 2 more week soon.

On oso, LTK - KTM :dot:

Should be able to bypass fuel pump on any carbed bike, just carry spare piece of hose under seat. Not possible on FI bikes before anyone asks.

Yan > The neutral switch plunger is probably worn off, known common failure I am told, just changed mine for same reason, around $20 only at M-Technik.

ATWin > don't recommend getting Corbin all the way from the US, lot of guys on Triumph forums reporting doesn't match their a$$ and had to take it in to be adjusted (which they do free if you take it into the factory) and also reported to be much wider at the front meaning harder to get your feet down (unless you get them to custom adjust it again) a few have even reported failed stiching (again free if you take it in).

Niall, I will get it done soon cuz its darn irritating sometime when travel far distance, stop at traffic light but cnt get the green to pop out at will! Btw, any idea if it affects the current outflow to the bike? Somehow feel quite different in smoothness in throttle response..

BTW, Papa smurf beard not blue ar.. its white! his skin is blue.. *LOL*

Can't think of a reason why the neutral switch should affect running, it'll either go or stop if the switch fails but if the light doesn't come on then when you put the side stand down it will cut out even if it's really in neutral.

Skin not blue either, legs are really white though.

I can think of is either the sensor fails or the light fails, or its going to fail.....lol...

If u try 10 times....its the same, then not light, sensor side, chk the link to the fuse first, clean the sensor or get it changed.

Normally will not affect the engine, but unless its shorted due to some burning & melted components, then u will see the fuse blown first.

having the same problem with the neutral light... i found out that it happens when only the bike is at its running tempreture.. when its cold it doesnt have that problem. someone said its a common problem with honda bikes the other time at simpang... $20 to fix it seems to be reasonable.. :)

MIght not be able to ride down for the BBQ. vara doing top service(overhaul) and repainting.. hehehhe

Exactly what I experienced. Cold everything normal, hot no neutral light even though in neutral and gear indicator showing 0, put side stand down engine stops. Leave it to cool for an hour, back to normal.

yarr vara can keep up with KTM on tarmac anytime , have more coverage and eat less fuel than lighter KTM. not as agile on short corners and offroad but you can't have all in one bike .

David>> its wear and tear. Sitch holds up fine after so many years. The tear part is the leather material itself due to excessive folding over the years by my thigh .As the seat is much wider hence I have to force my leg inwards in order to touch the floor.

Just blame my short legs not corbin's quality lol , if I am 1.8 upwards, should be nice.

Installation no need rocket scientist to do, just so simple bending of brackets will do.

Trust me, I will sure go for Corbin for my next bike as its soooo comfy. I used to get needle and pins on my bum while on original, but with Corbin, I never encounter anything even when we reach Hatyai hotel.

Zman>> its drinks more fuel by how much u know? But its a more powerful machine right? I might be wrong..

Dear Vara, FOV,BOV

If anyone is interested to pamper the fleshiest part of your body, you are in luck!

We are currently talking with Corbin about their wonderful seats. Forget about Thai-bin, Auntie-bin , 217-bin or Dust-bin, this is Corbin.

I am using it for a couple of years, and no more pins and needles after the long ride.

So if you got , want , think , mayb-yes-no an intention to own a piece of @ss pampering seat, drop your name . What I see from holding us up is the freight, so we are currently working on economy of scale here to see if we can lessen the freight.

And mayb with luck, we can even get a bulk discount for it, that is with Luck. But being an americanos coy, maybe it's tough...

BUT we can still try yah! But must have volume to nego mah!

Some pointers thou

1. please check http://www.corbin.com for availability of seat for your bike model and type your wish to santa as follows

2. Price online is not inclusive of money order, bank transfer fees, and its in USD. As they don't accept Credit card or my face as payment, and also due to currency fluctuations. So more less give take add 10% to your budget

3. Apart from that be prepare to pay X amount for freight which would add on more to your budget. This will be announce once we firm up orders.

4. This is open to all , and whoever's bike model have corbin seat. So check out if your bike has the seat. See point 1.

5. I don't think our EFI model got, but no harm trying mine

so let the list roll

1. Atwin - Honda Varadero

2. Varas - Honda Varadero
