01) Fuel pump
02) Worm
03) Foot pump ( gas canister will be a good subs!!)
04) Spare clutch cable
05) Spare spark plug
06) Spare Fuse BRING MANY2 as this thing cannot be trusted.. maybe 3-5 of each size.. trust me!! If not used also can keep as spare
07) Screws and Nuts ( unless u comfirm all screw and nuts are thighten!! especially ur balancer..
08) TOOLS SET No use u got all the spare but no tools maahhh...
09) Extra CHAIN link i have together with the chain clip ( BUT NO CHAIN TOOL..heeheheh)
10) Mini Multi-meter
11) Rectifier
12) fuel cut-Relay
13) 12v wire 2mtre LONG x 2 (Just in case if u need to mount ur fuel pump else where)
14) small JUMP-cable( I have..DIY-ed tested and proven)
15) Spare AC/DC switch (u will need this if u use the spare wire)
16) Spare lamps, one of each, not critical with Vara having two head lamps and two tail lamps but helps if your riding at night a lot.
17) Duct Tape, can be used for just about anything, including clothing repairs and even first aid.
18) Cable ties, a selection to hold things together till you can get to a workshop.
19) Puncture repair kit for tubeless tyres, tube is too heavy to carry and you will also need tyre levers if you want to fit a tube.
20) 1 ltre of engine oil if you are using synthetic, not so easy to find in remote places.
21) A selection of hose clips and some rubber to make patches, old inner tube is good.

95) Spare OEM KEY (to ur bike/pannier and keep it somwhere safe with u all the time..hint..ask FUJI!!! he will tell u a story)
96) Pre-check ur EO and bring spare.. a bottle maybe..
97) Pre-check ur COOLENT LEVEL
98)NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION!!!!!!!!

99) CAMELBAG hydrate urself before it hit u.. after all, drinking/sipping water will keep u awake/alert..

but most importantly bring a huge dosage of humor
cause when all goes wrong no matter how bad
its humor that will see u thru:angel:

i noe lah ya all ride fast2 bike...unlike me..750cc mahhh!!! also OLD bike already maaahhh.. SO must be prepare...

Now u all can say lahh... one day suay suay..ya all ride then kana.. then u noe.. Just because of 1 screw the whole bike cannot start lah. This bracket broke lah... That cable snap lah... Wire burnt lah... Fuse blow again and again lah.. run out of fuse lah.. where to get coolant in the middle of NSH lah...at night all lights just go off laahhh.. Blub blow llaahhh WHy the bike suddenly jerky lahh..many many things can happen. SO to me i rather be safe than sorry UNLESS ur ready to pay the super $1XXX tow all the way to GP ONLY..

Still want to say sumore...? later i pack all the 3 of u on my pannier then i go MHS corner - corner till ya all mabok.. heeheheh

u forgot spare rear suspension...u won't want another horse ride for 800km

who talk abt ure bike?

seriously if u maintain ure bike regularly dun stinge on wear and tear

any bike is good to go anytime any place. Not everyone is DIY u know

Let me giv u an example, in the lst trip my rear tyre lost air because some kind of long sharp thing entered the tyre.. I had a tyre repair kit and altho

we fixed it was still leaking air.... managed to get back to singapore and true enuff the tyre could not be fixed even by the mechs..the hole was a slit rather then a puncture.. tat doesnt mean the next time im going to bring an extra set of tyres when i go riding wat..... **** will happen if **** happens.....

things like fuel pump.... if life span 30k and its already 25k and going for long trip change lah.. why buy new one and bring extra?

anyway bring so much also wat can you do in the middle of the night at nsh where there are no lights? bring so much also know how to change or troubleshoot or not?

motorcycle touring is become increasingly an expensive hobby esp with cheap budget flights... we do it because we like it..... but everything has a price.... if we wanna stinge on maintenance and bring spares during trips then might as well fly there.. cheaper and the load u carry is lighter....

Anyway bro wanna go play corner no need to go all the way to MSH.... Bouna vista have, mount faber have grik hway have, kahang have, karak have and of course Pasir Gudang inside the track also have... ill be glad to scrape pegs with you anytime:angel:

Hi guys..newbie reporting in..just got a vara 1K recently (carb model).. i am happy to say i enjoyed the bike very much and hope to learn more from all the vara owners down here..however, i just encountered some problems with my bike.. while i was travelling, the bike stalled, after 1 crank it satrt again..but after riding for 15mins, there was coolant leak on the left side..the temp shot up and even i reaches the mid line from the temp gauge, the fan did not kick in..

Was wondering what seems to be the problem? I remembered i top up coolant a day before as it was was almost empty..wonder is it a thermostat / hose problem? Appricate all your suggestions and feedback..

Btw, any reliable workshop to recommend that specialises on our vara? I stay around sengkang area. Thanks and have a good week ahead!
