If you want to save all the troubles, go to M-TECHNIC. They'll fix for you everything and wired up the lamps. I talked to Chua two days ago and saw him using a different kind of brackets. Not as hardie BUT much cheaper and neater....Only a few dollars he said. My bracket will set you back $52 a pair.

If I'm not wrong the header are wrap by a long strip of cloth look-a-like thermal material. It's commonly use for race cars manifold to reduce heat generated at he extractor. On a dyno, it actually shows increase in horse power due to less heat generated thus increasing engines efficiency. elws & smicerboy, quite sure you have seen this car mod before ya?

 

You can buy these from shops that modify cars.

Pro : - As above. Save fuel? Not so sure. If so, maybe just a little.

Con: - If you header is not made of stainless steel, steer away from this! In Asia, we get alot of water and these material will soak up water thus speeding up rust (our header is definately not stainless if you notice) Plus it smells quite bad when it's hot and wet. Cars uses it because their header is protected in the engine bay from rain and their ciong cars already changed to stainless steel racing header, so it's not tat bad for them.

Other problem - Material will harden over time.

 

To reassure you tat it's true, I must admit that I used it before on my car..

Trex>> 390km....can hit tat if u throttle till less than 3000rpm...not a problem i guess...i ever hit 370km w/o over-throttle 4000rpm using petronas.... that will all depends on how frequent u start/stop, the longer distance u travel w/o stopping n over-throttle...ur milleage last longer

Dude my leg still swell but worst thing is jus now on way back fr werk,my tire got some metal thing slit it by the side & it punctured .Did a quick fix but dun think advisable for long distance journey.Well time for a change.Any of u guys got any extimated price for a rear tourance.

 

Ahh maybe e God of Fortune can loan me for a new pair of Tourance & suspension &.....a new pipe...Mr 60km/h wat say U.

sorry ah bro. bought my Hella lights liao. 6 inches a pair for 70. the bracket i uses very cheap and simple modifications. half metre 50cents only. it's those long metal types with holes.

Rear tourance last time I changed at $190. But it's supposed to be cheaper at lavender.

60km/h >> Just go to any hardware shop to check lor especially those near Ah Boy they r slightly cheaper. If the tool is coated with chrome vanadium it will be stated on it. For spanners and sockets better to get this material than stainless steel. For allen keys get the brand BONDHUS abt $16-17 for set of 10. Make sure get a set with ball at the end so that can use in funny angles. Snap on is a brand for tools lah even more ex than those i recommended.
