How to buy a new bike?

Hi i'm absolutely new to this. Currently taking my bike license. I have no idea of buying a bike even if i want to. Anyone out there who took a loan to buy a bike. how much is a road bike?

normal breakdown of a brand new bike :

 

machine price of bike + COE + road tax + insurance + IU unit + admin charges

 

taking loan is fine but don't push it too long, remember longer loan = higher interests

 

buy what you like but most importantly buy what you can

I think he mean buy what you can afford to pay comfortable every month .

Cause there will be the installment , carpark charges , regular servicing for engine oil/ oil filter , petrol , yearly- insurance, road tax and inspection. And you will want to do some upgrades , buy aftermarket parts , customize here and there .

 

I would recommend getting the bike you need rather than what you want.

And I would definitely recommend getting a good bike here for good price at this site rather than from shop as you could be paying $1k - $2k more for one at the shop.

And I would definitely not recommend getting a new 2b bike as you would most likely upgrade to 2a and its a waste of money for the depreciation and the knowledge after selling that you have made a bad decision
