Hey Rusty,, yes of couse I remember you. ! yap, I just sold off my Mp3 last week and got a new Maxsym yesterday.. so far I feel Maxsym a more comfortable bike to ride than MP3..

( the seat is more comfortable, besides MP3 cannot stretch out legs but Maxsym can :thumb:)

Nice nice. Enjoy the ride and run in :D

The above info is really just for the MaxSym 600i ABS concept model which SYM showcased back in 2009 I believe at the 2009 EICMA motorcycle show.

I'm currently riding a Majesty 400, but will be looking to upgrade to the MaxSym 600i ABS if it ever makes it into production and launched here!

(I used to ride the Kymco DT125i, and I must say, to be able to stretch my legs on the Majesty 400 VS not being able to stretch my legs on the Downtown 125i, I probably will NOT go back to scooters which WILL NOT allow me to stretch my legs. Haha)

Haha! Yah, the ability to stretch one's legs is very important. Especially for touring. Last time I tour with sportsbike, my legs were bent for six hours... Then changed to small scooter, I was squatting for six hours also. Now I'm relaxing on sofa for six hours, haha!

just had my first refill

travel 322km in 12 litres

fc 26 km/l

not too bad for a still running in bike

travel not more than 80km/h

one question

how to set the trip meter to zero after each refill

When i want to open my seat,i turn my key to the left side and i hear a click sound. Then i have to lift the seat up.

But i understand that our seat have 2 hydraulic lifters and once i turn the switch, the seat should lift by itself but mine don't.

What about yours?

auto lift by hand

actually i think they did some improvement on the seat latches i think

i read from past posting that the seat very difficult to close

need to have special technique or adjust alignment

but surprising my new maxsym quite easy leh

of cos need to lift up the seat by hand after unlocking

but when closing

just need to slam down and it is lock

no lah new bike i close slowly

it closes very easily

i am still thinking whether to do a engine oil and oil filter change at 500km

my official servicing is 1000km

but if i do my extra EO and filter change at 500km

what engine oil to change?

does AC motor has such engine oil?

there is a USB charger port on the maxsym

is it safe to charge ur iphone

will there is power surge and spoilt ur phone?

I did my 'extra' oil change at ard 350. Changed to semi syn 10w40 from mah. AC motor should have all kinds :)

Quite safe ah. I charge before. It's just some advice to unplug first before switching on and off the engine. To further reduce the surge.

Got bike must ride!

I use it to charge iPhone, Garmin, dildo. Charge all the way on morning to night rides, no problem. Charge in light rain also no problem.

Only thing is, if your device draws a lot of power, like my iPhone with Sygic on, the battery drops slowly as more is used than supplied. Especially on the North South highway if you're playing music, tracking Sygic, and playing Candy Crush at the same time. Very minimal, like drop 10% over a whole day's use.

For the seat, I just apply pressure on the sides where the latches are. Just make sure there are audible clicks and the seat is secured.

When to do engine oil, oil filter and gear oil change at tai hin

Wanted to go ac motor but mechanic not around at 11am

Anyone here fix their IU at the front right glove compartment

Mine is on top left

Mah refused to fix in the front right compartment for me

Any signal reception problem if placed inside right glove compartment?

Intend to get an iPhone stand and GPS for touring?

Any good recommendation?

iPhone stand get RamMount. GPS get Garmin. But don't get the cheap one like me. No Bluetooth, no route alternatives, no high gain GPS receiver... Get the one with more features and get a better experience.

I rode in to aeon bukit indah shopping centre with my wife yesterday with the help of sygic. The shopping centre motorcycle parking got a security guard looking after. And also got chains provided for u to lock ur bike if u want to. Not bad place for a short weekend trip for shopping, movies, massage, makan.

My IU in right glove compartment. No issue. Car parks or ERP, tested n proven.

iPhone stand, ram mount. Good. Not cheap as compared to less durable or less adjustable stands.

GPS, all depends on budget n the functions you expect out of it. If budget not an issue, go for garmin Zumo models. Made for bikes. Worked for me for the past 5 years without issues.

Alternatively u can get garmin made for cars and put it in an aqua box since its not water proof. Its Cheaper, does the job, but will not get all functions available in Zumo models.

You can get other brands like TomTom. Cheaper. However I found Garmin's maps n updates are widely available and are easily shared. Malsing is one such site where maps are regularly updated n shared.

Hope this helps.

If you're riding a bike but not calculating the 50 possibilities in the 50 meters of road ahead of you, then you're dangerous and shouldnt be on one.

No, we occupy a car lot right in front of the doors and where the security guard is. Our money's as good as any car driver. Haha!
