Malacca can reach in 2 hours, there's this huge unmissable shopping centre you should check out, the cinema's quite good too.

 

Sygic's good, but should do visual confirmation of signs too, as recently shifted roads might not display accurately.

I havent tried using sygic to Malacca but I tried twice guiding me to some locations in johore bukit indah. Very good and precise. Don't even need data. Just gps.

Yup, and might need to do some fine tuning for your route preferences. For example, Bukit Indah, Sygic will twice try to get you off the freeway and into the small roads with cars blocking your way. So just set waypoint on the freeway after the exit, for the smoothest freeway route to Bukit Indah. So go over the displayed route, and if Sygic tries to direct you off early, just add your custom waypoint and save the route.

 

And make sure your phone has more battery, as phone GPS drains off more juice than any on bike USB can supply. If you left home before charging, familiarise with a straightforward stretch of route, then turn off GPS to let it charge first.

been there a few times by coach

so should not have any problem going there

like the fatty lee restaurant salt baked crab very very much

 

the gps is more for those good makan places in JB like bak kut teh, restaurant, bukit indah etc

also intending to travel to thailand

that why buy the southeast asia version instead of just malaysia

 

now bike mileage around 1400km

after malacca come back can go for second servicing

yes the cinema very new and nice

there is also a very nice hotel called Hatten

right in the centre of the shopping distict

the room cheap and good for about $100 per night

after drinking can just walk back hotel

 

there is a pub just beside

nice belgium/german beer at very cheap prices

the food there also very nice

 

this time round not staying at Hatten hotel cos fully booked on Saturday

Wow! Didn't know Hatten was so hot. Last time I was there I negotiated to park my bike right at the main hotel lobby entrance where the butler and guards are, so that's a real plus for bikers.

i using nolan N43 now

any good and cheap helmet to recommend?

if not intend to buy another white or silver n43 for her

 

My wife and I also using n43. The newer version. N43E Air. It's ventilation is good.

Ya I bought from chong aik the psb approved version for $280. Regina selling the same one for $220. Same n43e air version. I chose chong aik coz I can't handle Regina type of salesman..need to know your stuffs before dealing with them..

Do NOT use the auto headlight if you install HID. I blew one of my DRL led bulb that way. You have been warned lol

Noted with thanks bro. I wanna install the HID with Balas 1. Don't if it can be fixed and safe to use or not. haha.

HID is suitable for the bike because of the projector lens. if u tour up msia alot, esp at night, avoid 6000k and above. the white color reduces the light throw. i tink i changing mine to 4300k soon, but i still love how the 6000k matches the DRL. hmmmm..... and like Sonic mention, dont use the auto headlight function. for me, i always start the bike with the headlight off. ready to move off, then i will on it. because HID at startup have huge current draw. not advisable to start the engine with the HIDs on. can reduce its lifespan.
