Any good and reliable bike shop along North-East line? Preferably English speaking mechanic?

I've been servicing my bike with HKL, but felt that their service standard has dropped tremendously for the past year. Any HKL customers feel the same way?

Thanks.

mandarin - only bits n pieces

malay - also bits n pieces

Hmm. Then you really have no choice but to go to those large English speaking shops. For me, especially if i buy my spare parts, will be all those tiny shops, i try to bring the service or part manual to show them. Of course many cannot speak english la, but most can speak malay and/or chinese. So a little bit of mix of all the 3 languages, with pictures preferable. Sometimes i even bring a piece of paper to draw the part i want. Many of the mechanics in Singapore are Malaysian, so you have to consider that as well.

Remember, in Singapore's bike industry, speaking English is a value added service because the old uncles and aunties sell spare parts and repair shop are all the 'Knights of the Old Republic'. You pay more for those fancy speaking mechanics who got large repair shops, music playing in the background and free internet surfing as compared to those tiny shops with only a few florescent lights illuminating the dark, smoky and stuffy workshops. After all, the young generation all wants to 'work in office'.
