when buying a new bike, pay money first or transfer first?

hi guys im new to bikes and im wondering, usually when paying the seller for the bike at lta do u all pay the money first or let the transfer go through first?

If not under hire purchase. den at LTA counter pass money. while xfering. under hire purchase den liase with bike shop. make sure its not dark shop can alr.

Absolutely. Everyone will agree that, for the seller, only do it properly once the money is received. For the seller, only hand over the $$ once the transfer is confirmed taking place.

After filling up the transfer of ownership form while waiting at the LTA, that's what I did.

To protect yourself,

 

A small deposit or verbal agreement prior

Full payment before confirming the transfer at the LTA office.

Write a cheque, to the seller name, show him the cheque, but only handed over to him after transfer.

 

You can not run, police will after you by this cheque. u will bear more crime besides stealing a bike.
