Ride to Genting Highland 23 Oct 2011 (SUNDAY)

Hi,

 

 

 

Anyone wanna tag along with me to Genting Highland on 23 Oct 2011 (SUNDAY).

 

Moving off time : 8.00 AM (Opp Marsiling MRT Stn Busstop)

 

Estimated time of arrival : About 9 PM

 

Riding Speed : 110-120km/hr (On my S4 meter)

 

 

So plan of the day, ride up to Genting Highland. hopefully can reached top by 12noon.. Chill2 n Relax..

Move OFF from peak abt 4/5pm.

It was my first road trip going with a few BIG bikes... Previously was with my spark to Genting. This time round with my 3months old spec3... Plus my pillion & 4 other riders riding R1, R6, Hayabusa & a Ninja400

 

Our day started with meeting up at 7am at the flyover near BKE/SLE... Once all of us were there, we set off towards Msia Checkpt.

Our first stop was at the Esso at the other side to top up our tanks coz our next stop was gonna be only at PAGOH RR.

Haha sure thing @sawadee5848 we will definitely keep in touch, hopefully organize some more rides too.

When going downhill, we decided to drop by the themepark a while. As in just to walk around & have our dinner. So we parked our bikes at the basement of the themepark hotel before we went in the mall. Nothing caught our eyes, so after a few photos taken, we decided to move off. We thought of having our lunch at Ayer keroh R&R otw back. So we moved off around 215pm from the carpark . The sad part was that, we missed some exit & got lost otw back. We ended up going towards Ipoh.. as in further up north instead of going back towards KL/SG. After close to 1 hour of riding wrong direction we turned back & we managed to find the right direction....We all decided to go our at own speed & just meet at ayer keroh straight. being the only 400cc, I went a bit slower. Oh yea, the ninja400 rider aredi went in a different direction otw to genting coz he was going to watch motogp.

Back to the topic, it started to rain when riding back...So i stopped & me & my pillion wore our raincoats...The rain only lasted for about 2 exits & therefore we took off the rain coat & continued riding... By now, we were aredi hungry & my pillion kept complaining it was very painful for her to sit behind..No choice but we had to endure...coz for her its her first LOOONNNG distance trip..I offered her to ride as she had licence, she didnt want to coz she was more of a safety rider & was not confident of gg fast & time was running out & it was getting dark...so she just had to endure the pain & sit behind...close to tears. There was nothing much i could do, coz the more pit stops we had, the more longer we wud take to go back, so we just had to enfure till the next R&R that we decided to stop. When we were otw to ayer keroh, suddenly we saw the other 3 riders zooming past us... it seemed they stopped the previous petrol kiosk...Finally we managed to reach ayer keroh but the other 3 riders were nowher to be seen...so we jus left & decided to go to the next R&R to eat.

 

We just endured till we reached Pagoh R&R agn...or was it seramban... fORGot... but there we jus stopped a while, pumped petrol & bought sum snacks to eat. That was the last pit stop... And we rode all the way back to first link..By the time we left the last pit stop was around 6pm...And we reached 1st link ard 730pm or so... it was very challenging to ride when it was dark..and there were too many speeding vehicles...But we managed to make it... And finally, back to singapore sound and safe..

 

The trip was gr8 as the other 4 riders were road-disciplined, understanding, nice & friendly... As for me & my pillion it was really a test of endurance...Coz even though it was painful to sit for so long...we cud do nothing abt it as we still had to ride back home...
