STOMP dug up an article on the display of retail prices on goods and purchases, and in this article dated 7 January 2006, Mrs Lee Leng Kiong, Director of Corporate Communications, Inland Revenue of Singapore says:

 

“GST-registered retailers are required to display and quote prices inclusive of goods and services tax to the public. Failure to do so is an offence and could result in a fine of up to $5000.

 

The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) has ongoing programmes to educate retailers on price display and regular audits are conducted to ensure compliance with the GST law.

 

Members of the public who encounter instances of GST-registered retailers not showing GST-inclusive prices can notify IRAS via email ([email protected]) or telephone (1800 – 356 – 8633) for investigation.”

if they guai lan, take their quotation they write down and go complain
