i had an auxillary projector lamp mounted on my bike without the cover and had no problem so far, not very sure whether it's legal a not though. But i think generally if it's not hid that is blinding others, the TP should be quite ok with it. I dun switch it on in Singapore, use it for NSH.

You can diy it onto your bike easily, just have to pull the cable to the battery, find a spot to put the switch and a spot to mount the brackets.

All additional lightings including DRL are illegal in the fine city of Sillypore. But a way around this is that these lights must be covered when in Sillypore.

 

I have a pair fitted (uncovered) as well but as far ok even when once a LTA outrider rode alongside me looking up down left right but didn't stop me. Maybe it also depends on the type of ride u riding. Mine is a humble TDM900.

Thanks for the clarification. I had installed two uncovered hid converted fog light and had passed by TPs and went for inspection with them. Seems they are quite ok with it so long as you dun switch them on in Singapore. And of cos the type of bike play a part as well, seems like tourers are usually classified as LTA friendly... i feel...
