Hi Guys,

Currently i'm using the Metzeler M5 for my s4.. After reading the reviews, im convinced to use it as im always prone to riding in the rain..

But after about 4 months, the tires seem to have lost it grip.. I've constantly checked the tyre pressure and the threading on the tyres itself is still fine.. Tyre condition is still good.. Never lost it's shape..

Is there any other tyres which is better..? Cuz i'm still scouting for the best tyre for riding in the rain..

2010-2011 : Yamaha Spark T135 (Taken over by my neighbour)

2011-Current : Honda Super4 Spec1 (My project bike)

Surprisingly, all these bikes still have my name in the insurance. No money to upgrade anymore.

Why go to workshop when DIY is easy..?

i used the m5 on my fz1...lasted me a good 24k+ km...

grip wise i got no problem despite the high sidewall (i use 180 rear) i still managed to use til the edge of the tire...

well of course i scrapped the footpegs just to achieve tat...

now using pr3 also can do the same thing...wet weather traction to me is very good...u can brake harder on white lines without fear of the tires locking...

on the dry when have to perform last minute braking the front holds traction very well without even locking.

stay calm and carry on...

M5 belongs to sport tyre category which require the tyre to run for a while before the tyre is able to grip properly unlike sport touring tyre like Pilot Rd 2 or PR 3 , Z8 , angel ST which require less time to warm up and the tyre will grip properly .

Z8 & M5 are comparable.. so, no point changing.. need something better than that..
