Im a new rider barely two months old riding. My bike(wr200) used to be able to kick start real easily, usually 1 to 3 times without the choke. Last month I decided to try cleaning my valve and carb at soon hin at yishun as recommended by my friend. Turns out to be a bad move as

Suay kena one new mec who know nuts about wr200, cleaned it but anyhow fixed back my carburetor which resulted in a major petrol leak from the carb. Lucky rode to my friends house nearby before it leak. Next day pushed my

Bike back and complain about the service and another mech fixed it for me. Now my bike need to kick start multiple times with choke on before it can start. Same problem when change new spark plug. Is this normal after washing valve and carb? I really want my bike to kick start as little times as possible again. What needs to be checked? I'm new and need advice from the rest of y'all thanks

actually the mech change the carb setting when he disassembled it to clean n re-assembled.

look at the carb, beside the idle-screw, there is another nearby, tat is the pilot-screw (or also known as air-screw).

by default, it is set at 1.5 turn.

tat means turn the screw inwards until it touch bottom, then turn back 1.5 turn (note: do not use force or else the tip of the screw will break).

reset the pilot-screw as above, try kick start ur bike then turn either left or right by 1/8 turn n find out which side enable easy to start.

do try n error, step by step, turning the pilot-screw by 1/8 turn until satisfy n easy to start ur engine.

min is 0.5 n max is 2.5 turns.

do not set less than 0.5 or more than 2.5 turns from bottom.
