Hello guys, I'm having a very stressful time with my DRZ. Here's the back story of my bike.

I got it in July, no problem whatsoever til I went for inspection in Oct. When to a bike shop in Yishun to change parts, mainly electrical, speedo, tailight assembly and headlight assembly etc. Passed the inspection but by Nov, battery started to grow weak and died. So I thought that it's time to change battery.

Changed it in Nov. Changed it at some lousy bike shop. It worked normally for a few weeks before dying out on me again. Had to push start everytime.

Bought a new one again in Dec 10 at a respectable shop. Told them my story and the shop kindly checked my rectifier and deem them to be working perfectly. But now, it started dying out on me again!

My thoughts is that when they changed the headlight assembly, tailight assembly, the wiring is not right somewhere? This is just my opinion. Something to note, when I'm on low beam, the high beam indicator keeps flickering when I'm riding.

Is there any way to check whether the battery is leaking power when the bike is off? Or could there be other explanations?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

With the bike ignition switch to off, disconnect the negative lead. Get an Anmeter (or multimeter to amp mode) and connect in-line to the Batt's -ve terminal and -ve lead and check for readings.

The other possibility might be your charging coil not giving enough output.

Biting on the fray of my hair, I muse upon the way to find the oasis of evermore beyond the vertical horizon, I shall join the windupdeads in owl city, neither my safetysuit nor my red jumpsuit apparatus can save me, cuz I mistook a death cab for cutie in plain white T's...
