Looking for a s4vtec specII user's service manual in english. For torque settings and correct servicing procedure.

Any idea where to get it?

The Cb400 was built as a street bike not a racer. As the NC evolved it became a street fighter and with the vtec a muscle bike able to fight above it's wieght.

Hi, vtechpower4jp

I understand your situation. Regrettably, I don't know where you

can

find an English owner manual. So, I recommend that you check with

Honda

shop or bike shop that you bought your CB400SF.

CB is very sturdy bike. If you do the maintenance of the bike

periodically, CB will keep riding. So I tell you about basic

maintenance

cycle.

1, engine oil change...per 3000km or 3 month

2, oil filter change...once 2 engine oil changes

3, spark plug change...per 5000km

4, air cleaner change...per 10000km~40000km(the sooner, the better)

5, chain and gears(front and rear) change...per 10000km~30000km(differ

with

material)

*You have to change 3 items(chain, front gear and rear

gear) at the same time!

Please refer to this information.

Thanks for your advice cashcard. :thumb:

I ran a search on this sight and found a thread that has the manual for a spec3. It's close enough to mine. I know the changes so I can compensate. Just needed torque settings and clearance info.

Don't know Otsuka Yoshihiko. Should I?

1, engine oil change...per 2500km or 3 month(synthetic only)

2, oil filter change...every engine oil change and clean magnetic oil plug.

3, spark plug change...per 8000km Only use hioctane fuel.

4, air cleaner change...wash knn every 3rd oil change.

5, chain and gears(front and rear) change...per 8000km

6. did titanium refinishing oil treatment at 17000km. Seemed to smooth out the rough edges.

My spec2 has done 19000km and only seems to be getting better.
