So the gear 5 to 3, what is it??? to show we are able to shift accordingly???

Yes. To show that you know how to shift down and continue riding compared to the first part which is to show that you know how to shift down and come to a complete stop.

ok, understood. Thanks bro.

Just failed my lesson 4. I couldn't get anything right. The frustrating thing was I only managed to try 5 times for plank and slalom and 3 times emergency brake. Rest of the 90 minutes waiting in line.

thanks. irony of it all - i thought i would be able to do plank and have problem with emergency brake... but it was the plank that gave me the biggest headache... i could't even mount the bugger. lol

more than 6 seconds. the slalom must complete within 6 seconds. actually, if you can't remember the timings, look in your student booklet. near the back there is a TP checklist. they have all the points and timings there. o means straight fail.

here are more videos... a bit over lah... but you get the picture...

he said to the narrow plank 'i love you long long time...'

and the instructors here do the slalom with throttle play, but in CDC we are thought use constant throttle and control speed with rear brakes.

Not meeeeeeee. Idk why my bones are breaking and aching so badly. Not sure if its because of practical.

So busy at work traveling around that I dont have time to rest.

Hope everyone pass our practical soon and move on to the next level.

Cheers.

1. Following slow vehicles infront and my bike becomes super wobbly. If I'm going really slow, if in gear 1, should i up to gear 2 so it wont wobble so much? But my speed cant increase due to slow moving vehicles. Can't control slow speed well and thus I wobble and sway left to right.

2. Wide turning for left and right turn. Yet to master the 'look in the direction of where you are turning' theory. Unable to convince my body to lean towards direction which I am turning. Sometimes my turning is so wide that I might go to the opposite direction.

3. Moving off stationary to a left/right turn, will be in gear 1, and maybe due to slow speed, my bike wobbles during the turn, plus with the wide turning... Do you all change gear during the turn or stay in gear 1 but throttle more?

4. Going around the whole route for pract 2, will you be in gear 2 or 3? I will change to gear 3 but during the bends I will slow down. Should I drop to gear 2 during bends? Or maintain in 3? Is it possible to stay in just gear 2 throughout the whole route?

5. Heading towards the first traffic light, before the figure 8 there (i think), there will be bikers queuing up. Am I supposed to change to next lane? Cuz we weren't taught to change lane at that point. Stopping behind them feels weird though.

Can't remember what else. These are some of the things I'm not so sure of! :dozed::cry::(o_O:faint:

Anticipate slow vehicles from far and start slowing down before you get to close. I if vehicle is too slow on front of u stop. Then move off again. Inch forward if you have to.

2. Wide turning for left and right turn. Yet to master the 'look in the direction of where you are turning' theory. Unable to convince my body to lean towards direction which I am turning. Sometimes my turning is so wide that I might go to the opposite direction.

Don't think about leaning. Google and read about counter steer. Basically, push the handlebar of the direction you want to turn and the bike will lean. I turn by pushing down and forward and not by 'steering'.

3. Moving off stationary to a left/right turn, will be in gear 1, and maybe due to slow speed, my bike wobbles during the turn, plus with the wide turning... Do you all change gear during the turn or stay in gear 1 but throttle more?

Accelerate a bit faster then change gear. Change gear before turning

Drop to gear 2 before turning. If gradual bend no need to shift down.

5. Heading towards the first traffic light, before the figure 8 there (i think), there will be bikers queuing up. Am I supposed to change to next lane? Cuz we weren't taught to change lane at that point. Stopping behind them feels weird though.

This is called forming up. When there are arrows showing only 1 direction on the road you form 2 lines. I when the arrows on the road show 2 or more directions form only 1 line. For eg if you reach a junction and there is a left turn only arrow on the road, if you are the first bike to arrive you stop on the left. If you are the second bike to arrive u stop on the right. If you are the 3rd bike to arrive you stop on the left behind the 1st bike. Etc.

If you come to a junction and the arrow on the road is straight and left, you form 1 single line

Can't remember what else. These are some of the things I'm not so sure of! :dozed::cry::(o_O:faint:

Thanks rijac but I don't know if you get what I mean for 5.... I mean... I am not supposed to queue up behind those who are going for figure 8 right?

I remember I was going straight... then had to come to a stop behind two bikers queuing up for figure 8.
