I'm not sure how the bikes look in CDC, but training bikes should be crash bars at the side. If your arm strength is insufficient, you could "cheat" a little by using your knee to nudge the crash bar forward.

Got me around of course lively. I feel so depressed. I went Racing World. I saw two very very chio jackets (but not raincoat). PINK, White & Black combination! MAD CHIO. Sadly it is not raincoat and it is selling for $347. I also saw a pair of gloves. PINK, BLACK & WHITE combination again. GLOVES! And it is quite soft. But kinda like those offroad ones. SOOOOO PRETTTTTY.

 

So tempted to buy cuz of the design n color but I am only learning bike. People think I siao later. ):

hello comrades. i'm pleased to announce i passed my prac 1 tonight. i went straight to roundabout because i had ridden long time ago. that saved a bit of time. at one point i thought failed because during the braking section instructor said if anyone not in gear 1 when he check after we stopped straight fail... during the last round i was in gear 2.. he didn't check but when moving off stalled!!! he came over and check... shake head. but was surprised to pass.

you are damn fast. please teach me how to brake. when i'm at gear 3, time to brake... i close throttle, brake using front & rear, clutch in and down gear to 1. by this point my bike will be wobbling and prob both my foot will be down.

where are you looking when you are coming close to the stopping line? you should be looking ahead, not down at your feet. that will help a bit. secondly, if you are wobbling it means you are taking too long to finish braking. so if you take a shorter time to brake you can get to teh end and put your foot down faster. you know what i mean? you are wobbling because you are so slow already but still haven't reach the destination, correct? so start braking when you are closer to where you need to stop.

thanks. my previous experience helps lah. still not perfect, though. 20 years ago, the bike i rode was ligher... hahaha... also back then, in KL, we apply L plate can ride on the road liao. no need to go for lessons. so we all ride around without proper technique. for e.g. just now i keep forgetting that i have a front brake... always use back brake only.

after you have down to first... you have to complete the braking by applying more pressure right? i wish i had a bike now so i could try it out illegally!

yah. when you close the throttle the bike will start to slow down. but if you clutch in before you start braking, the bike will 'freewheel' and not slow down as much. thats why brake then only clutch in. when you are in first just continue to squeeze the brakes until you stop.
