Guys,I am coming back to sg after living in UK for a number of years.

Besides the excitement of getting back to some sun and heat. I look forward to riding again on sg roads and up north after almost half a decade.

Is it cheaper to get touring motorcycle jackets in sg or am I better off just buying them here in england and bring them over? I am looking at brands like RST, alpinestar, dainese etc.

And anyone can recommend any good ones for riding in sg's humidity. I realise UK leather jkts are useless in the wilting heat of sg.

All the best everyone and safe riding. :p

Tell them you want summer jacket. Haha how much is one mesh jacket there in GBP? So far I noticed forme, the jackets are in good price range but shipping charges are bad and since GBP are really strong vs SGD, most of the time it's not worth it. But there were exceptions.

When I think about UK, I think about belstaff jacket but I have no idea if they have any ranges suited for our weather. As a guide, you can get a decent mesh jacket with armor/ pads for about 200-400 SGD. stuff like taichi and komine. also welcome back to spore!

FYI I was in Europe last year and I realized riding boots in Singapore are slightly overpriced.

thanks for the heads up about prices slayer.

my bike stuff will be shipped to sg together with the other crap I've accumulated over the years here, so I am not too concerned about the shipping charges when its averaged out.

belstaff is way out of my league mate as those threads go for about 1000 quid. I am more of a high street shopper :D

my riding boots are in sg at my parents place, I have an uneasy feeling they are probably coming off at the bits or mouldy. hahah, so its another excuse to get some decent riding boots too.

And remember that it rains often in Singapore. A semi leather, semi mesh jacket would be the best. Leather at the shoulders to resist as much water as possible and mesh at the front for wind to go through. I'm wearing an Arlen Ness jacket by BERIK. It's exactly the things I have mentioned. Semi leather semi mesh.
