Hi all,

I am planning to get a pair of Raptor-i for me pillon and myself, open face type helmet this coming monday. However, the main thing i need is to make clear calls to my customer and clients while riding. However I have a few heart burning questions I would like to ask:

1) I understand that this system has a wind cancelling to make reduce background noise, however with my loud exhaust and engine sound, will the system recognise and cancel it out as well?

2) I saw on their main site that there is there is 2 types if Raptor-i for sale: with and without FM radio. So are both units basically identically in terms of function and capabilities except for the radio function?

3) As this is the first time I am using a bluetooth intercom set, are there any other things I should take note of?

Would apprieciate all your help people! Any other helpful comments welcome as well before I invest in this badass!

Thanks

Regards,

Hao25

Im using vertix raptor-i...noise cancelling is excellent. Yeah fm/no fm is exactly what is sounds like...just that, 1 with fm 1 without. Buy the wire speaker without boom for full face.

Thanks for the quick reply motor fly, so by noise cancelling does it means it will cancel out the wind as well as my loud rattling exhaust and engine sound as well?

Used the Vertix during my recent Betong ride. Sound clarity to & fro riders is excellent. No noise received from the other party and from mine. You need not worry about noise generated by your bike and wind for your outgoing calls.

The only issue is instead, wind noise that is comin into my own helmet when I'm trying to hear what's the other side saying. Coupled with the fact that I removed my silencer during the ride so my own noise is louder. But of course at lower speed of under 120 is ok since the noise entering my helmet is lower.

The agent BHH and JR had a promo on this and u can get a handlebar mount remote control free if u get a pair of the FM set. Don't know if this is still on though.

I have been using this product for a couple of months now, and this is the fourth kind of headset I have used, previously I've used 2 different models of Scala, and one of them was some China brand.

This one is by far the best one I have been using. Most people don't know I am riding when I talk to them on the phone (with a full face helmet).

The FM and non-FM one only difference is the FM radio. But i think the FM radio is damn good compared to others I've used.

Also, the customer service is really good, i got my set replaced with no questions asked when there was some connection issue.

I would recommend this set if you want a clear FM radio, good communication between riders, and comfort and ease when using. I have the boom mike set, and the full-face set, for use with different helmets.

Good thing of getting this is the assurance of after sales support. Should one have any problems with the set, just pop over to the dealer (JR or BHH) and you can be assured that they'll look into in including changing a new set.
