knock door fee

recently, i was charged a $50plus amount for "knock door fee" by a big well known motorcycle company.

 

i want to enquire, did anyone encounter this before? I paid the installments plus late fee, and recieved the receipts and but still have shortage for installments, due to the fact that they had used the installments money for "knock door fee". I have the receipt of this, and yes, it is what it states.

 

i feel, this is not a fair fee. come knock my door wanna charge fee har? in this case, if come 10 times, i pay $500plus? crazy...in any case, i dun even know if they really come knock the door.

 

anyone has similar encounters?

I know for a fact that if they wanna tow your bike and each trip is "x" dollars, they will charge u how many times they have to go down until they find your bike and tow it back. Wheather they want u to actually pay the said amount depends on each individual bike shop... my friend kenna b4, but his bike shop juz ask him to pay back the installments owed can liao...

I think the problem here is how to confirm that they really "knock your door"? Skali come once only but claim 4-5 times but no one at home?

it seems to me they are trying to rip u off. but i believe there are such fees. different bike shops have different practises.

You must have being quite late in your payment for them to charge you the unreasonable knock door fee.

This is something new for me.

Next time jokingly tell them you want to charge them your taxi fees for making you come down directly to pay the installment each month!!

Is the fee in your contract? If yes, you are screwed, if not, you are getting ripped off. But, don't be late, or if you are going to be late, let them know.
