try the following:

1. spray WD40 at locations where the liquid is able to seep into any gaps and reach the threads of the screw. if u dont own a bottle of WD40, try it with Coke. (no kidding, i've seen Coke work before).

2. position yr screwdriver on the screw and hit gently using a mallet or hammer.

3. try to unscrew the darn thing

have some tips for u as well if u cant get the job done after trying the above.

1. use a larger/longer screwdriver

2. try using an impact screwdriver instead of a normal screwdriver

3. seek help from the nearest bikeshop
