Stephen Riady Carpark. Plenty of bike lots.

Yes this one.

Oh, good place to park if you have lectures around that area, but if staying in hostel, then quite far, quite a number of riders just park around U-Town Residence there. You will see all kinds of bikes there, sg ones, malaysia plates ones, hahaha.

Saw a pulsar fly up the kerb at the junction of Computing Dr and Kent Ridge Dr

Prime taxi was turning right towards halls, just cut into the pulsar's path in full view.

Driver was not remorseful, claimed he had "stopped" (in oncoming lane) and that pulsar was speeding (wasn't even doing 35).

Rider chose to swerve and crashed, probably mounted kerb, fortunately suffered only abrasions.

Probably should have attempted to ebrake, hit taxi if necessary.

Ride safe guys and girls!

yah. He said lucky to be alive.

Worse, campus security that passed by didn't stop

and passenger in the rear of the taxi said bike must be going fast cos she can't see the bike. like lol.

After turning into computing drive, that big yellow box is another danger spot.

Cars exiting arts carpark often don't check the right side

Yeah dontknow how many times I had to brake for cars coming out of the arts/alumni car parks lol left and right also kena.

It wasn't a student rider right .. campus security won't care one

Erm he is a student. Engine I think. I often see his bike in com carpark.

There are 2 bumblebees (yellow pulsars) there...

Too bad he didn't think of offroading.

Gives me motivation to practice swerving/ebraking. haha.

lol ya.

The circle near utown another one. many cars from the non-utown road just enter the circle regardless of whether there is traffic close by

Also, the triangle near mochtar riady building. Too many things nearby.

maybe I should start buying riding gear soon =O

ya i taking CS1010J, ytd had lab test and i think i saw you after i finish my test.

Anyway, for anyone that had witnessed the accident that day, my friend is appealing for witnesses and hope if you guys have any photographic evidence or what. now he waiting for the insurance claim form the taxi. at first he did not even want to have a private settlement, now pending. bad taxi drivers are bad.

Lol ya white diversion, white FF on a good day.

Ur bag magnetic one ar? Can stick to the bike?

Ya I saw u too.

The moral of the story is:

See signal doesn't mean going to wait for you

If other vehicle is not slowing, don't assume he will stop

If got accident and other driver obviously in the wrong, if got witness, don't be afraid to wait for ambulance.

You protect the other party, he's not going to even care about you...

And don't be afraid to ebrake and hit the vehicle in your path if swerving is more dangerous.

Last week at that crazy Arts/Temasek/SOC/Alumni house junction, I had the right of way (going straight on major road and was already 10m from junction. One of the internal shuttle bus insisted on right turning out from the SOC/Arts minor road. He thought I was gonna ebrake for him?

Well, in that split second my brain decided that I would maintain speed and squeeze through on his left if he didn't give way (since he was going to turn into my path, same direction). Last minute he chickened out and ebraked in the middle of junction. Don't think his passengers were pleased.

haha ride safe bros. i always ride slow around school unless no vehicles. the shuttle buses think they f1 racers. and ya my bag is not magnetic. BUT. i got a plate that is and i attach my bag to it. lol

Should note down the plate number and timing. Report to NUS.

erm ych FYI that's exactly what happened to the pulsar rider.

If the bus went forward u'd be murtabak

generally speaking, ISB drivers are courteous.

some even wave bikes on when they have right of way.

must be having a bad day and not concentrating

today almost got hit by a car turning left out of one of the computing carpark lanes, against traffic.

not that I'm scared he hit me though... =P
