ok i'm studying this, that the riots in s'pore in 1964 and m'sian riots in 1969 was NOT a spontaneous one.. it seems that the riots have been premeditated to consolidate some ppl in power.. interesting!

issit sumthing like the Bukit Ho Swee fires??

burning down villages so that HDB can receive support..

or the 9-11 conspiracy theories..

US prolly leading the attack to garner support to crush the militants

or talking about LKY's famous crocodile tears upon separation..

Prof Husin thinks tt LKY crying is real..

i was leaving at 12mn...nobody was there.. i think a switch would suffice.. same goes for the Aircon in the LRs.. damnit.. they could have used my school fees to fund white paint and draw more bike lots in the SDE carpark.. hahaha.. yup.. just going to suck thumb...

ok before I begin I need to reiterate that I am not a racist nor am I Malayocentric.. but just to share the Malays are natural environmentalist, so they know what the climate entails.. that's y, Malay kampung all have high roofs(at least the old ones) as a matter of ventilation and allowing for more cool air.. you think this design can be incorporated?? hahhahah..

yeah.. i brought that up..

it seems for office spaces, natural ventilation (NV) spaces are quite hard or quite unacceptable... tropical climate brings along humidity as well (singapore average at 85% humidity)

for houses, it is fine to have NV.

argh... 5 more days...

Events leading to why I think B Ho Swee fires were a setup:

1) The residents showed resistance to sell the land to the govt.

2) The Land Acquisition Act was legislated prior to the fires, which provide for compulsory acquisition under public purpose.

3) The Act also provides that the government only need to compensate the land owners of "fire sites" only "one third" of their value.

4) Several HDB building were already built nearby the site.

5) Once the fire started, the govt consoled them and relocate them the new flats.

What a nice subtle and caring way to push for my own agenda.. :p

wow.. ok maybe not exactly the govt.. BUT could be ppl who have certain vested interests and want to move to hdb flats???

Another interesting thing I would like to share..

For those living in HDB,

In the event the flats collapse or burnt, legally, you don't own anything as legally, you do not own any legal interest in the land or building. HDB owners are actually just lessees of a space (public housing), for a period of 99 years, after which reversion to the govt.

Yup, we are paying a doggone half lifetime of morgage payments only to give it back to the govt. Point: Earn, Pack, Leave.
