Hi guys,

Thank you for reading, and hopefully contributing your thoughts/suggestions/past experience.

I am riding a scooter with tubeless tyres. Every week i will pump to the rear tyre with 280Kpa (40 psi) and front with 220Kpa(32psi). This is according to the instructions beside the wall of tyres. My front will not lose much, so never bother much with it, but the rear tyre loses as much as 60-70Kpa in 1 week. So every week, i will pump my rear tyre and starting reading will be roughly 210-220kpa.

I brought it to a bike shop to check on the tyre and where it is leaking. The mech did the foam and check for bubble method, but could not find any bubbles, so did not do anything else.

Hope the bros in here can give suggestions as to how to solve the leaking issue.

Thanks for reading.

regards,

Melvyn

Take note, your rims might have hairline cracks. Happened to my 2a tubeless bike too. 3 possible options for u to choose.

1 - change your valve and see if its still leaking. $15 a piece I think. Cheapest option. If its still leaking choose either option 2 or 3.

2 - locate the hairline cracks, grind away the paint, expose the crack and apply contact cement. Ask your mech to do it.

3 - change your rims.

I chose option 2, because my rim was still in good condition and I don't have to change the rims.

Well, that loss is not so bad.

Live with it and monitor if it gets worse?

Change a new tire if its botak already.

If that doesnt work, change the rim and reuse the new tire.

Btw, the sidewall readings are usually max psi.

Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions and advice. esp ticks, XxPJYxX and Hydher. I will head down to a new mech and do what XxPJYxX suggested. As mine is a new scooter, the tyres are new (3 months old), so not botak yet...

Thanks all
