We do have quite a capable rider in Jazil, and he was groomed without a racetrack in SG. If there is a will, theres a way. If the local companies and SMSA chips in more, we would never know who might come up next. Not all riders in Malaysia (or other countries for that matter) lives near a racetrack either, and Pasir Gudang as a training track is barely 2hrs from where we are. If u see on the website, the Asia Talent Cup is in part led by Alberto Puig, who discovered Casey Stoner. Casey's family, if I remember correctly, sold everything in OZ to go to Europe to pursue his dream coz they believed in his talent. The rest was history.

Never give up the dream even though a racetrack didnt materialize.

Just came across this. My son, tag 121, was chosen for the selection but unfortunately was not selected. Another participant from Singapore, Azhar Md Noor managed to get through and will be among the 22 riders selected for the Shell Asia Talent Cup which will be held over 6 rounds next year. All the best to Azhar !
