Hi all. I went to look at some 2B scooters and am really interested in the Honda PCX 150. Was quoted $8550 OTR. Is that a good price? Any particular bike shops I should check out first?

Anyway, I bought a SYM Joyride 200i in the end. The flat platform and bigger size was the clincher for me. Plus it is cheaper, less than $8k new from Mah.

I know this will sound like a weird question, I am very interested in this scooter but the 1st thing it struck me is the maintenance as compared to a normal touring bike like...lets say honda cbf 150, honda cb125ie or yamaha fz16, will the overall servicing etc be more expensive on this scooter? I have 0 knowledge about the internals of a CVT scooter.

Scooters will be a little more expensive to maintain mainly due to the CVT belt and stuffs. BUT, you will not need to visit your mechanic (depending on how you ride) as frequently if you ride a scooter. Another plus side is that you need not worry about gear shifting...just turning the throttle and zooming off.

Thank you for your reply, I guess Honda PCX 150 is not spared from that, it is sad as I am thinking of doing dispatch and scooter is definitely a no no for now not unless new technologies starts emerging to improve current technologies that all CVT scooters use. Sad sad....But is there a more detailed pricing in terms of comparing the maintenance cost between FZ16 and PCX150? Sorry for my annoying questions.
