y'day was a damn suay day too.

 

the day before, my erp couldn't be detected. y'day i attempted to evade the erp gantry beside sim lim square by turning into the small road beside sim lim. suay suay kena TP ops... i was booked for 2 offences, riding against traffic (for only like 10meters...) and evading erp. the tp say wait for letter, might proceed with only 1 of the offence (like that's suppose to make me feel better)

 

apparently, that place is a hotspot. within 5 mins, 3 other bikes also kena...

 

for those who dunno, evading erp carries a progressive fine of $200, $500, then tio court case already... :giddy:

 

i wonder if i got down to push my bike on the pavement, will still kena or not?

 

first time do this kenna ops. think i chiong the erp pay the $8 also cheaper...

 

and as if things couldn't get worse, i burnt 3 fingers on the exhaust after that...:faint:

Aiyoo... next time don't try it again. Evading ERP is viewed as serious offence and the fines are heavy and difficult to appeal. Pushing bike to evade will also kenna summon if caught.

 

To all other riders reading this, try not evade ERP - its not worth the try, even if it is unknowingly - the officers usually do not give a chance.

 

And NEVER swerve suddenly to the side of the road when approaching the ERP gantry just because you forgot to put in the cashcard. Do it safely. If its unsafe, just go through it and pay the fine rather than thousands in hospital bills.

FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER

 

Date: 19 Jun, Tuesday

Time: 7:20pm (ERP still in effect)

Venue: CATHAY @ HANDY ROAD

Meet at: 1ST LEVEL ATRIUM

Parking:

1. Pavement opposite Cathay bldg (ERP)

2. Prinsep Street (hv to make a round from SMU) and walk (no ERP after 7pm)

There's a small slip road called "Kirk Terrace" diagonally behind the Cathay bldg. Enter from Paradiz Centre and you'll not need to pay for ERP.

 

 

UPDATES:

- The list is now closed .

- we are watching at Hall 1 row "M".

- Each tix = S$6.00 (chao's underground tix)

Me too!! Used to catch small fish in the longkang.. then come back hom kena nag by mum , "Don't Play longkang! Later get disease then u know!"

 

Me used to catch those small fishes which we call them 'long kao' fishes...

My mum didn't mention bout any disease, only: Play somemore lor...Later you get swept to the big sea and never come back! :giddy:

wah liew. they always say the same thing. last time i was caught by TP riding gina n i ask him give chance, he told me i was guilty of 1) overtaking from left lane and 2) speeding by duno how much blah blah blah.... n then he said, " i will be kind enough to close 1 eye n book you for the lesser offence" (subtext: u shld be grateful to me n lick my shoe n name ur 1stborn after me) nabei!!!

 

btw, how come ERP din detect? where u mount ur IU? or is it becoz its a plug-n-play unit?

Wow,.. that shortcut is prinsep street.. very VERY hot to get caught one.. Well, too bad then. expensive lesson learnt. Pushing bike on pavement? Never see people tio before.. Maybe want to experiment?.. :D

heh seems like I've been missing out quite abit lately.. well its back to work for me, and its sure taking up alot of time.. though I am lucky to "siam" alot of sailing, but have been understudying duties and will soon be closing up for quite a number.. including weekends.. sigh. Duties are 24hrs unlike those of other units. It has been tiring, esp the ride to and fro Tuas everytime, worst still when its during peak hours..

 

Hope my schedule will be firm soon, and will meet up with u guys soon. Yet to have a ride with u chao! haha I still wanna have a shoot out ride! The last time with andrew was good, let's have another day trip some weekend soon!
